Finally
I have been searching remotes for my smart tv and finally this one actually works and I don’t have to pay a subscription to use it! I mostly needed it to move side to side and up and down so I haven’t tried all of the controls. But since I can actually use it, I’m impressed!
Half works
Sometimes it works but most times it doesn’t. Shut off your tv you have to re-add and then the app can’t find your tv. Spent 20 minutes trying to get this connected when yesterday it was fine. Just a gimmick to get you to buy other products

When I open up the app, it says scanning for devices on your Wi-Fi, but then it just says no devices found on your network, then I try tapping scan again, but it just says that the i need to remove the device from the black list even though i never even got the chance to try to allow or deny permission

Scam
The app has you put in credit card to use. Saying it is only for location purposes. Then they subscribe you to a fee of 35$ a month. When you try to cancel there is no easy way to do it. I am glad my cc recognized the fraudulent charges.
Steals your clipboard data
Once Apple added the feature that requires you to allow or disallow an app to paste data it became evident this app is constantly trying to access your clipboard data. Super shady. BEWARE.
Other app remotes are garbage

Poor reviews are correct!
Needed a virtual replacement for my Samsung Remote. I researched remotes in App Store and decided this one would be my best choice by reading reviews. Decision makers, few ads, easy access, reliability etc. but, then there were also negative reviews to consider. Consider I did but ultimately downloaded the app. Reviews were correct. I never got past the set up. App would not recognize the IP address. Every negative review rhetoric came to light. After attempting to get this app to work for half hour I finally gave up.

Never connected but showed lots of ads
Couldn’t get it to connect to the my tv but it showed lots of ads and I had to watch them before attempting to connect. Snot sure I want to watch ads before I can turn down the volume.
The best remote app ever!
Use this app!! The developers really know their stuff… no flash or other crap… just a functional remote.
Didn’t work for me
Finally was able to “connect” but could not get anything to work at all. No good. At least no in app purchases, although lots of pop up ads
RIDDLED WITH ADS ABD MALWARE
This app works, but is barely usable due to how much advertisements there are. They will make you watch videos that you can’t close out of as well as other deceptive tactics. DO NOT CLICK ON THEIR ADS. Do not download this app. Simply a mockery.

did not work at all and just kept showing ads, after the ads I tried to sync the remote but it just kept giving more ads. Basically clickbait lol
Don’t Download
Garbage app. Make sure you check last updated before downloading any app. In this case app hasn’t been updated in nearly 4 years. Apple needs to do a much better job keeping this store up to date. If you want to monopolize the market at least do your job. Exhibit A of what happens when our government ignores the law and allows monopolies.

ad-ridden junk
Shows an ad every button click. I couldn’t even troubleshoot connection issues because I had to see a 5 second ad between every connection attempt. Gave up eventually to try one of the other 50 remote apps. Haven’t found a good one yet.

Great Remote
I lost my physical remote but this has been a great replacement. I can’t turn on the tv with it but once I power on the tv I can operate the tv perfectly by phone remote. Great news is it is free!
Absolute Garbage
Thought I’d try this app because the Samsung smart things app is so annoying because it constantly disconnects, this is worse and it has advertisements. I couldn’t even get it to connect to the TV. Waste of time and I deleted almost as quick as I got it.
Yaaay it works
My child lost our remote and all the other apps I looked at required hefty (for my budget) subscription fees without even letting me try them to see if they worked first. I was getting so frustrated but then tried this one and it worked immediately with zero hassle.
