Love it - great to see how long a task will take and the finish time. I have my days with house chores set and then import them. Great for when I’m feeling tired and do house chores in 10, 15, 20 minute increments or however long task with take - house is starting to look way more organised 😀

So happy - love this app

I used the old Sloth app, and liked it so much I kept using it even after it stopped being updated for as long as I could. I only just now discovered this new version of the app and I’m delighted! There are alternatives if you want more complexity, including Flocus and Focus To-Do, but both actually encourage me to procrastinate by being *overly* detailed. This app is perfect, with exactly what I need and no more : to create a personalized and flexible productivity flow over time. I brain dump all my to-dos, order and re-order them as needed, and choose my own task durations. The other thing is that only three tasks are visible at a time, so even if the list is long, it doesn’t stress me out. Three things and move on, three things and move on… Ridiculous to be this happy about discovering this updated version, but there’s I am. It makes such a difference to me.

ADHD winner!

I'm a psychologist and coach specialising in ADHD and with ADHD myself. This is one of my go to tools for overwhelm and procrastination. I love a lot about it but one of my favourite features is that I can estimate the length of tasks, then pull down...and realise that if I'm going to do all of those things in one day, I will have to invent a time machine. It's really helpful for developing better time management and more realistic expectations of what's possible, as well as staying on track. highly recommend!

Fantastic update

Smart Sloth brings the functionality of the original Sloth app in to modern Apple devices.

This app is invaluable to me. Nothing else works as well, and effortlessly, at quickly running through a list of tasks.

Not worth paying for but a decent app

I used the old app for years but switched to this one recently because I thought it would be better. It’s not. Not even with the paid version. When I complete a task and swipe it to move on to the next, it doesn’t start the next task. So I tried putting on the auto advance option. But now it’s glitched out so bad that I can’t use it and can’t turn off the auto advance. It just freezes up. I’ve forced it shut multiple times but it still won’t reset. So frustrating that I paid $5 for something that doesn’t work at all now.

Been looking for this for years

Thank you! I have been searching for an app like this since the 30/30 app was discontinued. Works just how I need it. I really like the option for multiple lists. I have it on my iPad. My only request is that you make an android version so I can use it on my phone. Maybe someday?

Good app in concept, “Pro” upgrade doesn’t work

Overall this is a good list for planning a single task list, estimating the time each will take, then fitting the tasks into a schedule. Very few to-do apps I’ve seen do this

Sadly, the Pro “upgrade” version I paid for does not add the features promised, like multiple lists. I have a few very different projects I need to manage my time on, and this feature would be useful. But the app just does not provide this “Pro” feature even after paying for it (the app recognizes I paid for it). And multiple emails to the developer have not been returned.

Almost great...keep developing, please

Update: Smart Sloth just gained another star from me after adding the feature I asked for in the last review (see below). Thank you!! And now they have 4 stars. To earn 5, they would have to add just one more feature: the ability to see at a glance the time frame in which each task would be worked on after you've begun timing. For example, Iron Clothes: 11:07-11:17; Make Lunch: 11:17-12:15; Nap: 12:15-1pm, etc. The 30/30 app used to have this feature and it was very helpful.

After the demise of 30/30, there was a big void in the world of timeboxing apps. Luckily, Smart Sloth filled it, and I'm glad they did. It's not perfect, but it has a lot of potential. 30/30 was more fun with all of its sounds and colors. Still, functionality is more important, and in that regard it's almost up there with 30/30. **Here is the feature it needs the most: for it to move to the next task even if you HAVEN’T hit “done.”** This puts more pressure on the person doing the tasks because if you don’t complete the previous task, then oh well, too bad, you better hurry up and catch up! The clock is running! The next task is already underway! As it is now the whole clock just stops, which just delays your projected end time (which defeats the purpose of a end time goal). The Settings gives the option of “start next task automatically” but it really doesn’t move to the next task automatically unless you hit “done.” That is not “automatically.” I would pay for the app just for that feature. Thanks for the app, it’s very nice and almost there, please add the feature I mentioned.

Pro upgrade doesn’t work

As a former 30/30 fan, I liked what I saw here.

Unfortunately, I paid for the pro upgrade and my app won’t upgrade. I’ve deleted and reinstalled the app and attempted to “restore purchase”.

Nothing.

Sent emails to the developer; no response.

Save your money.

Useful app

This app is really useful. Helped me to improve my time management.

App closes

I just upgraded to the pro version so that I could have preset lists, but every time I try to add a task to the list, the app closes. I looked for app updates to see if that was the problem, but it didn’t come up. Given that was the only feature I was looking for with the pro version, it’s a little disappointing. I basically just made a $5 donation.

Paid version is an absolute waste

The developer initially released the Sloth app which was great until it stopped working. If you paid for the upgrade on that app you’re out of luck because the developer created an exact mirror of the app now listed as Smart Sloth and you won’t be able to restore your purchase under the new listing. Smart Sloth at least appears to have developer support within the last year unlike the original Sloth which has been abandoned.

Take your chances with the free version, light your money on fire if you’re interested in the paid version and it’ll be just as useful.

Nothing gets me up and running like Smart Sloth

I had the old version of Sloth that hadn’t been updated for years and I had no idea there was a new version called Smart Sloth. My favourite example of how I use Sloth is when I’m having a bad day and its suddenly the afternoon. I don’t feel like I’ve accomplished what I had hopef for the day. So I’ll open Sloth, plug in my essential tasks, see that I can get them done by X time (Sloth adds the estimates and tells you when you’ll be done), and bam I end the day feeling good about myself again. Love this app!
