Smart TV Remote & Control

Keep your everyday TV controls close at hand. Smart TV Remote & Control connects your iPhone or iPad to a compatible TV over your home network. Find the TV automatically or enter its address, then enter the four-digit code shown on the TV to pair. COMPATIBILITY Supports compatible VIZIO televisions with SmartCast local-network control. Your phone and TV must be on the same network with local communication allowed. Other TV systems and soundbars are not supported. Availability varies with model and firmware. Turning the TV on requires its network service to remain reachable in standby. YOUR REMOTE • Power, volume, mute, navigation, back, home, and menu • Channel and playback buttons on supported TVs • Inputs read from the connected TV • Supported streaming-app shortcuts • Touchpad navigation, large-button mode, and adjustable themes • Multiple saved TVs, custom layouts, shortcuts, and sleep timers • Widgets and system shortcuts for supported commands • Phone keyboard for typing on the TV The Cast tab provides receiver-dependent media features and an AirPlay guide. Casting needs a compatible receiver; a remote connection alone does not establish casting support. Type on your TV from the phone keyboard and send searches in one tap. Voice control is not supported by this TV transport. Streaming-app shortcuts open the app and do not guarantee playback of a particular video. PRO A subscription unlocks Pro features. Available plans, local prices, trial eligibility, billing period, and automatic-renewal terms are shown before purchase. Trials are available only when offered by Apple for your account. Manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple account settings. Restore Purchases is available in the app. PRIVACY No account is required. Remote commands travel to your TV over your local network. Pairing credentials are stored in the system Keychain. You can review the privacy policy in Settings and on the purchase screen.
