Version 1.42.0 AIS aids to navigation are here. Smartboatia already showed you other vessels via AIS. Now it shows you the marks too, and pulls from every available AIS source to build the clearest picture yet. AIS Aids to Navigation Buoys, beacons, and other fixed marks now appear directly on the sea map with type-specific IALA symbols at their real GPS position. Tap any mark for details. Multiple AIS data sources have also been combined into a single, unified feed, so you see fewer gaps and duplicates in the traffic around you. Also new: - Bearing to Next Waypoint (BTW) widget: the true compass bearing to your next waypoint, independent of the course you are actually making - Rudder Angle widget: a rotating rudder icon plus the live angle in degrees, sourced directly from your Hub - Screens with a time range picker now default to showing data since your last change between anchored and underway - New sailors can explore Boat Buddies before creating an account, with Laura and Arne shown as demo buddies - The app now automatically switches between Hub, Cloud, and Dashboard connections based on what is reachable - The Remote Monitoring Dashboard also uses your connected Hub as a live data source when you are on board, for lower latency and live values even without internet Bug fixes: - Fixed: the sea map sometimes only appeared after disconnecting and reconnecting to a boat - Fixed: a stuck GPS message could freeze position updates until the Hub restarted - Fixed: departure and arrival notifications were sometimes sent twice for the same event - Fixed: boats with an incomplete MMSI could disappear entirely from the My Boats list - Fixed: the app could crash on a freshly set up profile before boat data had fully synced - Fixed: the compass rose was missing from the wind rose widget, which also affected the true wind arrow direction\n- Fixed: the Hub could occasionally fail to establish a secure connection to the cloud Fair winds!
