Best option for digital contact sheets
I’ve been on the search for an easy app for digital contact sheets for my film. This app just works and is super easy to use and can convert an entire roll at a time. Took less than 30 seconds from setup pf the film to the picture. It’s a contact sheet and nothing more.
Cannot Adjust exposure automatically
Using a fill light as a source of light at the bottom of the negative will only make the negative black.

You can adjust the exposure with the top left slider. If the negative appears black, your light source is too strong.

Es una aplicación de Previsualización, así que solo te servirá para hacerte una idea de los negativos, algo más cómodo que mirarlos tal cual. Se nota claramente que están en una ‘early stage’ y apenas hay unos presets con 3 controles. Estaría bien que pudiera grabar vídeo (por ahora solo foto). No reemplazará a tu flujo de trabajo con escáner o cámara por 10 euros pero ayudará a facilitarlo. La recomendaría si en el futuro incluyeran nuevas features (video, curvas, multi-stich, etc)

A Simple Two Screen App
Big fan of my Filmomat Lite, so wanted to give this app a try and support a fellow analog shooter. I appreciate the simplicity of the app, but the ergonomics of the sliders (and the lack of labels or even an icon) is kind of awkward. If you don’t have a light pad/table or a way to lay out your negatives this app will struggle, which makes sense. I’d give it 4.5 stars if I could, and my only improvements would be a different, condensed slider system at the bottom of the screen, and the ability to save custom presets. I would like a little more granular control of color channels if possible, but I realize this is a quicker ‘Live’ app and not SmartConvert or NLP.

Fehlende Information verdirbt zuerst die Freude
bei der Nutzung der kleinen, sehr schnell nutzbaren APP. Installiert auf iPhone 8 Plus, Negative vor den weiß strahlenden Monitor gehalten und … auf den roten Auslöser getippt. Es klickt - es wurde wohl ein Bild aufgenommen - doch nirgendwo auf dem Handy finde ich die Aufnahme.
Lösung: Freigabe für „alle“ Fotos erteilen, dann klappt es.

Smart Convert
Works very fluent and intuitively. Delivers great colors to get a preview of your negatives. Highly recommended!
Horrible
The idea is great, but this app is terrible. It's very primitive, barely developed. And in the website (filmomat.eu) doesn't even mention it. I regret having purchased SmartConvert.

Essayé avec un iPhone 12 sur des formats 24x36 et 6x6. Très bonne application pour vérifier rapidement des négatifs couleur ou N&B.

Die App konvertiert Film-Negative in Echtzeit ins Positiv. Das ist die einzige Funktion, und die funktioniert super. Wenn du etwas Konstruktives beitragen möchtest, oder Probleme bei der Nutzung hast, kannst du dich gerne per Email melden.

This app is useless. My black and white negatives do not look good. I demand a refund.

This is amazing. I was skeptical, but just bit the bullet and I’m glad I did. This is such a useful tool to see how the negatives look directly after home developing. Screen recording and cropping the video makes it fun for people to see the BTS on instagram stories. Wish there was a button to focus better, but I could just be missing it.

Very Helpful App!
Not used this on a light box but just on hanging negatives with the right lighting angle it provided great first proof scans to identify the keepers.

App preview / ads make it appear like you can record video with it; you can’t.

SmartConvert Live gives you a live preview of the converted negatives on the screen. If you want to take a video, you can simply start a screen recording. The App-preview shows just such a screen record.

Désolé de mal noter cette application, mais 9,99€ pour cette application, ça ne les vaut pas!
J’ai testé avec mon iPhone et l’image est vraiment trop petite et flou.
Ça peut peut-être mieux fonctionner avec un écran plus large sur un iPad…

I was skeptical but.
Ok so I was a bit skeptical about this app and the video as many people are using AI to create videos these days that are too good to be true. That said, I decided to say what the heck and pay the money to try it out. And it does exactly what it does on the video. It even has a setting for Fuji 400h already so all you have to do is choose it and look at your pictures. You do however need a light source that is white to place your negatives on. Something like a light box or you can use your tablet with a white screen and make the screen as bright as you can. I used my iPad Pro and just opened pages to a blank page and set the screen brightness all the way up and it works great. I definitely recommend this app and hope that in the future they don’t sell out and start doing the unmanageable subscription thing. I which Apple would allow screenshots to be uploaded to reviews.

AMAZING Customer Service
Ok… I NEVER write reviews but just had to for this one… I was having a, what turns out to be, minor camera issue with the app.. wrote a quick email and received a speedy response from Fritz… the guy was amazing. I had sent a couple of screenshots to show the problem and he had the solution in my inbox in NO TIME… EXCELLENT EXCELLENT EXCELLENT…!!!!!

No Focus Control
There doesn’t seem to be any manual focus control on the iPhone 15..?? Maybe I’m missing something (apologies in advance if that’s the case), but it would be nice to use the macro capabilities of the 15 and get detailed single neg images….

Wow, this app is LEGIT, rendering my color and monochrome negatives in a fluid, buttery smooth UI.
