Exceptionally Bad Product!
I bought a brand new 2026 Nitro Z18 Pro that came with a brand new Mercury 150 ProXS. I mentioned to the BPS Service Manager that I want to keep track of engine operating hours so I’ll know when maintenance is due and he recommended that I buy a new Mercury SmartCraft unit. I did so and installed it myself with no problems. Now, however, I’m completely unable to see any data AT ALL from my engine and can’t locate any operating information or troubleshooting guide to help me. I’ve emailed Mercury for help but to be fair, they haven’t had time to respond. So far, I am absolutely disgusted with this very expensive product that doesn’t seem to work at all! I do not recommend this system AT ALL.

Why Mercury?
This app is not user friendly! First of all don't even try to attempt the install on your boat if you're not 5 feet from a WiFi router, the module itself needs to connect with at least 2 bars to work, second once the module connects it must update the firmware to work. Good luck it took me multiple try's! Thirdly once all the stars align you must download the mercury marine app and connect to that via Bluetooth to see any of your boats data! Why couldn't all this be done via the smartphone in my hand? Do better Mercury!

What do I do?
This is supposed to be a new app with a new device on a new boat. I have had the boat for three weeks and can’t get it to work with all the assistance of Mercury Marine and Bass Pro shop. We spent the money on your product, we would like to use it.
