I was not impressed. I wasted $1.99 to test it. It could not even id an Apple Watch. I tried several devices around the house with useless responses.
In my opinion it’s not good
So I heard that this app can be really useful I looked at the reviews first one said you have to pay for it I was confused since it was free then when I downloaded the app it said I had to pay for it some ratings are good some are bad and then I realize why wasn’t this mentioned if it was then I must be blind yet I feel that this app is not so good some other people said it only works on some items I was really looking forward to downloading this app yet I wish you didn’t have to pay monthly or every year I wish I could buy it and I won’t have to pay for it every month or year but hey it’s just an opinion but all I’m saying that this app probably isn’t worth it I’d be ok with it if The app told you you had to pay it monthly before downloading it but yet again it’s only an opinion

Terrible
Within 2 minutes I want my money back. It doesn’t recognize a common houseplant or even my iPods. No that isn’t a wiffle ball. Disappointing.

It charges you to not have any ads but swipe up and that's all that is there are ads

What I think you are referring to are options to buy objects that you have identified using the app. This is a feature that we tout in our screenshots and in our description — if you recognize a book, for example, you can swipe up to buy it instantly. Why isn’t that disclosed before downloading??
Forced to buy subscription just to try it. Not useful
Can’t even try it without signing up for a subscription. That’s lame. Tried it around the house. It’s ability to identify objects was very poor (a puzzle of an outdoor scene with no people was identified as “hominid”, a packaged mag lite flashlight was “blister pack”). Identified the dog’s breed which was impressive. I would have given a better rating if I could have tried it first.

Super useful!
I’ve found SmartLens really useful for identifying things I encounter I everyday life. It’s especially good at identifying plants that I see while hiking. At v1, it’s already a great product, but I’m excited to see what innovative perks ca be integrated in future releases. Watch out Google Lens!

One of a kind
I haven’t found any app like this. My friend showed me a book that I really enjoyed, so I shined Smart Lens at it and I bought it in one swipe! The efficiency of branded items makes this app practical and time saving. Amazing!
