Not perfect but it is more intelligent than I have expected

Great app to quickly recognize music sheets and playback. Paid version is required to export but it is a worthwhile feature to have, happy to pay for it. Did few simple scans and although missed a few items but overall it was very good. Make sure music sheet is clean and capture with proper lighting.

Unfortunately, PDF scan didn’t work, prompted recognition error without any further info, remove more more star due to this.

Would be nice if able to incorporate SmartScore Player into this, or create a iPad version of the player. It was great to be able to export .enf files but makes no sense to open and/or play on a PC/Mac, who would put a laptop on a piano?

Didn’t work at all for me.

On two different printed ( not handwriien) lead sheets.

Don’t waste your time

I captured perfectly clear, sharp images. Result? Garbage.

Just crashes

It works for about 2 seconds then crashes

Not a shadow of the desktop version

This app badly needs updating, especially given the release of the new M-1 iPad Pro’s. I’ve been using the desktop version for 25 years - and it’s brilliant. This is not a shadow of the desktop. Smartscore: now that iPads have come of age, port your desktop version with full music editing functions to the iPad.

Don’t waste time downloading.

This app crashes and the one time it did work , it did not even do what it claims, which is turn PDFs into music reader files .

garbage

this app is so bad i take pictures of the music i need played for me and it crashes everytime the app crashes it’s only worked once for me i don’t recommend it

Shame!

Over the years I have bought various versions of Smartscore for my Windows PC. I love the Windows version but sadly this app appears to be useless. Such a shame as it appeared to have such potential. Yes it’s free but it’s of no use yet. Come on Musitek!

Great addition to the SmartScore PC program

Very useful to capture a new score into the PC version., quicker than getting a scanner out!
I hope Musitek keep updates flowing, I’d like to be able to display songs in .enf format that I have already compiled.
Still great tool for now...

Crashes

Doesn’t work. All it does is crash. Will not recognize pdf files. I have an iPhone 6s with iOS 11. Waste of time.

Update

Update please!!!!

Great app but is it an orphan?

I us this app a lot on my iPhone 7 and it works great. Will the app be updated to run on iOS 11? Be a shame if not.

Needs Update

Works well enough under iOS 10 (though still kind of clunky). Unfortunately, iOS 11 is coming in less than a month and according to reports it needs an update to function. I hope they decide to update the interface as well when they update to work with the new OS.

Needs 64 bit update, especially for use of in-app purchase

Currently app works great in iOS. However it is only 32 bit. Apple is going to phase out 32 bit apps. I paid to upgrade this app and would like it to work in future versions of iOS. Please upgrade to 64 bit.

Love this

Not that satisfactory result

I just tried to photo a music notes sheet in my iphone6 and it did not work. I hope developer can update the app to make it detects better.

Great app for learning music

This app is great if you're just learning to play.

Great idea; needs work.

I tried two methods for the app to 'read' the music. The first time I scanned with my iPhone 6s+. The second time I had a pdf of the song already on my phone. Both times, the playback was inaccurate. Way off. Many missing notes. Perhaps it does not work with 4-part harmony arrangements using shape notes. I'm deleting it since this is the only format I would find useful for learning church choral arrangements.

Amazing!

This is fantastic! I don't know what those other reviews are talking about. I'm a singer who often has to learn music from sheets and very fast. I uploaded my PDF and in 30 seconds had a perfect rehearsal track! I can't believe this is free!

Very disappointing

They make it sound as if when you upgrade you can use the Smart score player on your iPhone but actually you can't. You still can't to see the music or select a part or instrument on your phone. You have to do that on the computer. It's surely not worth the money. I wish we could get refunds on The app store. It seems you're always buying a pig in a poke.
