Good app but needs dark mode
Everytime I open this app at night I get flash banged, they need to add an option to make the entire app dark.
Ain’t working
After a while my lights still work but can’t control it on my phone no more just keep saying device offline all the time even tho it’s on.
Wifi
This app works amazingly i only wish you could use ut with 5g wifi cause i can no longer use my lights and its really annoying
This thing sucks
It won’t freaking connect it never blinks enough It costed me 3k and it’s stupid stop scamming people
Can’t change the wifi
We got a new wifi hub and now it won’t let me do anything because every thing is on the old wifi
Installing a smrtlite was a mistake
Nothing but a headache. I’ve tried for hours and hours on end to try to reconnect my light to the app. It will not detect it no matter what I do so now I’m stuck with a damn strobe light until I rewire the fixture. This has been a problem since day 1 two years ago. Now, there is zero customer support. Not even a tutorial. Never has it been simple, or lately, even possible at all for these to work properly.

The light keeps resetting itself every few days
Then I had to remove and add the device again. So frustrating.

I bought this light around 3 years ago it worked and connected to my phone I think I deleted the app and just stopped using it I’m trying to connect it again to my phone but light won’t even start flashing what do I do?
No connection with apple homepods
Its a great app for the brand of led lights it can even connect to google assistant and Alexa but i would like it if it could connect to apple HomePods.
App support is poor
The app updates do not keep up with changes to iOS. Also the lights now take a long time to connect to the app and wifi. Please update the app.
App locked me out - not sure what to do now
We have two of these smart lights that we purchased from Costco and installed in my kids bedrooms as their ceiling light. The app worked great for the first several years, letting us control the lights using our Alexa and scheduled timers. It was nice to be able to change the hue of the light as well. Sometimes the lights would get out of sync with the Wi-Fi and flash on and off though until we could get it to reset. However, a few months ago, my daughter’s light stopped reacting to the schedule, so I went to log into this app and it is telling me that my username and password (which were saved in my phone) are incorrect. It will not let me login and there is no forgotten password link on the app. I’m trying to reach the customer service for Support and it looks like their website is not working either. I have no idea how to access the control panel for the lights and she is frustrated about the hue that it is currently stuck on. I know we could return the light to Costco, but we had to pay an electrician to install it for us and it’s not something we can just easily uninstall and return.

My lights got stolen can’t find the light strips I had before
I had the smrtlite smart led light strips and I wanted to get another set but I can not find them anywhere? Do they not sell them I see pictures online about the ones but no luck on actually buying them???
device offline
i loved it when i first got it, i thought being able to change the colour of my light was so cool. then it just kept saying “device offline” while my light was on so i deleted the app and went to go re install it when it said “cannot be downloaded in canadian stores”
Avoid at all costs
Nothing but problems. After 6 months of constant headaches I’ve finally thrown away their “smart” bulbs and deleted the app. Avoid avoid avoid!
Connection issues
I was able to pair my light perfectly for years, but recently it will not connect anymore and the directions on the app are not helpful, need a better system to connect/pair.
Broken app, avoid these lights
Essentially the app has rendered the lights useless as they disconnect on their own. I work in networking and have the top of the line internet and equipment so if it doesn’t work for me…good luck!
Personal data
Why can’t I just turn on and off my light normally without having to create an account??!! Wish I could get my landlord to remove this horrible light that I cannot use. Been stuck in ‘strobe light mode’ for years now… just garbage…
I want to use my light without you selling my personal data. Latest changes to app mean it is worthless. How much are you going to PAY me for my personal dat in order to use your app? You can’t just f’n have it for free.. Horrible design, horrible business practices. Stay away from this app if you value your privacy in any way. DO NOT GIVE AWAY YOUR PERSONAL DATA FOR FREE. Especially not to be able to turn on/off a light. Money wasted… Would rate lower if possible. There is ZERO reason that they need to collect personal data in order to toggle a light :(

Lights
The lights are bright and everything but this tape that you have on them is terrible like I had them up for an hour and a half and they were already Fallin
Does not work on iOS 16
The app no longer works on any iPhone since iOS 16.
My SMRTLite lights are stuck in the last setting before I upgraded my iPhone 12 Pro Max, iPhone XS Max and iPhone 13 Pro to iOS 16.
I reset one of the lights but it went into a non stop strobing effect. So now that light is effectively useless.
When opening the app the only feature that does work is the dimming slider on the light wheel. But all other features like adjusting colour are inaccessible now and the app freezes.
My only option is to replace all my SMRTLite lights and ditch the brand OR wait around for a fix.
At the time of writing this, it has been 6 months since the last app update.
Should I wait around for a fix or move on to another brand?

Offline problem
I have three light strips. One in the kitchen works fine, the one on the porch always say weak signal and the one on the deck gets offline repeatedly. Mere 30’ away from the router and SMRTlite devices gets offline while other devices like a bluetooth speaker and wifi water timers are never offline. Something is wrong with the app or the hardware? Porch light strip won’t connect anymore.
