Love it!!!

I love this app it is so fun to read about the facts about snakes and look at a snake take a picture then you can identify it but my favorite part about the whole entire app is the main page where you can read a fun fact then tap to read another one. But I wish we had more fun facts about the snakes anyways awesome app.

Response from developer

Hi there! Sorry to hear you felt that way. If something specific didn’t work or felt off, we’d genuinely love to know what happened so we can improve it. You can reach us through the support section in the app. We’re always working on updates and improvements.

Amazingly horrible app

This app makes you pay and when you delete the app it still makes you pay and there is no option to cancel and incorrect identification!!!

Response from developer

Hi there! just to clarify, subscriptions are managed directly through your Apple ID, not inside the app. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription automatically. You can cancel anytime by going to: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → Select the app → Cancel.

Insects, arachnids & reptiles

Great app for identifying your critters. It’s very accurate as long as photo is good quality.

Thought this was a trial!!!

Got charged full price. Never even used it!!!

Response from developer

Hi there! The annual plan includes a 3-day free trial, after which the subscription is charged if not canceled. If you'd prefer not to subscribe, you can always use our free version, which offers a limited number of scans.

Snake ID

Does not work. Keeps saying network error. Freezes. Bought the pro version. Took my money and still stuck on the free version.

Response from developer

Hi there! Please contact us at support@pibardos.llc if you're still experiencing issues.

Snake education

With a snake ID by phone shot is a good way to id and if it in in your hands a goo idea is to take a ventral picture since sometimes the belly has species specific patterns there.

Works!

Very helpful!

took my money but did not identify more than one snake at a time

I subscribed to this app but it only identified one snake before saying that free users only get one identification per 2 hours when I paid and am not a free user! So cheap! I canceled my subscription but they still kept my money. Choose a different app!

Response from developer

Hey there, thanks so much for sharing your feedback and letting us know about this issue. We discovered a bug that incorrectly limited some paying subscribers to just one identification, and we’ve fixed it so this won’t happen again. We’re really sorry for the hassle and totally understand your frustration.

Doesn’t work

Only works for 1 id. Paid for the subscription but doesn’t work beyond the first Id.

Response from developer

Hi there, thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. We sincerely apologize for the issue you encountered. We’ve identified and resolved a bug that caused paying subscribers to experience limitations meant for free users.

Lying app

My first photo, a suspected rat snake, was identified as a juvenile cottonmouth. It did not have the pattern or color and the picture was taken from above, giving a distinct view of the shape of the head. There were no distinctive features of a pit viper present in the photo. Not impressed. Only reinforces the idiotic idea that every snake is a venomous snake. DELETING APP!!!

Response from developer

Hi there! I agree this is not acceptable and defeats the purpose of the app. I’m working on improving the model and make it more reliable. Thanks for your feedback!

Not Good!

Not accurate! To check the accuracy of the app I used it to “identify” four known species. It wrongly identified 2-of-4 species. A Glossy Snake was wrongly identified as a Western Hognosed Snake and a Speckled Rattlesnake was wrongly identified as a Western Diamondback Rattlesnake. Not good!

Response from developer

Thanks for the feedback! We’re training the model to make it more accurate.

Patio Surprise

Great to confirm this snake was not a cottonmouth!
