Hi Jack, thanks for the honest feedback and sorry the results have not been reliable so far. A few things that make a big difference: 1. Use two photos per identification instead of one. A second angle, ideally showing the head and body pattern, gives the app much more to work with. 2. Set the US state where the snake was spotted. Range data rules out lookalikes that are not found in your area, and it is often the difference between a correct ID and an incorrect one. 3. Clear, close, well lit photos of the actual snake (when possible to take safely) work best. Images saved from the web are often cropped, filtered, or low resolution, which is likely why the same picture came back with two different results. Many snake species genuinely look alike, so photo quality matters a lot. If you try again with real photos and your state selected and the results are still off, please email us at ceo@fitdaily.in with the photos and we will look into it immediately.
