About

Snakes & Ladders – Well-Being is a modern, therapist-designed adaptation of the classic board game. Created by Rewise and Bart(Code), it turns every dice roll into a practical exercise in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Positive Psychology. Why play? Snakes = emotional barriers Avoidance, self-doubt, stress and cognitive traps. Landing on a snake invites you to notice thoughts and feelings that pull you away from your values. Ladders = helpful strategies Mindfulness, acceptance, self-compassion and character strengths. Climbing a ladder lets you practise proven techniques that move you toward the life you want. Game modes Solo reflection – roll at your own pace and journal insights. Local multiplayer (one to four players) – ideal for therapy groups, classrooms or family time. Session timer and automatic dice – keeps group sessions flowing smoothly. Key features Built-in deck of choice-point cards for guided discussion. Clear, colour-coded board adapted for cognitive and visual accessibility. Adjustable text size and contrast for phones and tablets. Fully offline experience with no advertising, data collection or sign-ups. Clinical roots, universal benefit Originally piloted in an eight-week wellbeing programme for people with acquired brain injury, the game supports anyone interested in resilience, values-based living or ACT homework. Public-domain inspiration The basic Snakes and Ladders mechanic is centuries old and in the public domain. All artwork, text and wellbeing content in this app are original and not affiliated with any commercial board-game brand. Privacy The app does not collect personal data.
