Sorry, but while the app worked pretty well I found this app is too expensive for its offering. Perhaps for a newbie it would have more value.
“Free Trial”
Gave 3 stars because I can’t really tell how good it is. There’s no pricing listed on App Store which makes you think there’s a free version you can try that either is limited in function or simply becomes unusable after a trial period. However, there is no function at all unless you give them a credit card. I like to try things before I decide to expose my personal credit card information to yet another possible place where it could be hacked.

Spot on identifications
I used a number of photos that i had and it 100% accurate on stoneflies and mayflies. I can’t wait to use it on the water.
Learning More Everyday
I am really enjoying all of the information available throughout this app! I purchased the SnapHatch Fly Kit to as well and I am learning about insects and their imitations every time I go out. I am consistently catching more fish and growing in confidence!

SnapHatch is one of the best ideas I have seen in a while!! It will tell you the perfect fly to tie on from a quick picture of some bugs. I have used it a handful of times and ever since I have caught more fish than ever before. The interface is seamless and easy to use. I have told everyone I know about this that’s how awesome it is!

Genius idea
I have been using the app for a few months and it is an absolute game changer! I am learning about insects and what imitations to use while out on the water catching fish! I have been using the catch log to track my success and look forward to knowing when and where to fish in the future.

Great for learning!!
I have been using the app for a couple of months now and have really enjoyed it! I am learning how to fit fish and have caught a few trout using the recommendations in the app. Just bought the pro fly kit that pairs with the app and am really looking forward to trying it out!
Game changer
Definitely a must have! Loving how fast the recognition is. New to fly fishing and this has improved my success already. Catch log is great too. Looking forward to filling it with more fish pics.

This app will make your life so much easier in the fishing world. They have created a very useful app with the ability to share your fishing tips and information as well as learn from other’s experiences. Absolutely amazing I love it.

SnapHatch looks like a great app, it will give you reccomendations on what setups to use based on fish activity (hitting top water or not) and what flies you see floating or flying. Seems accurate, I manually selected a fly I see often, and recommended exactly what I usually use. Highly recommend
Awesome App
I have no idea what to do when it comes to picking flies and this app has been incredibly informative. Being able to just take a picture and have a list of suggestions pop up has been a game changer and will be a very valuable asset in my future. Overall very well thought out and it looks like this guy did a ton of research! Great app!
