About

Turn a photo of a flat part into an outline you can work from. Snaplot helps makers, woodworkers and 3D-printing hobbyists create dimensioned reference sketches without learning CAD. FROM PHOTO TO OUTLINE Take a photo or choose one from Photos. On-device AI extracts an outline. Add selection or exclusion points to refine the result, then compare it with the original image. SET SCALE YOURSELF Place two points across a length you already know, enter that distance and choose millimeters or inches. Snaplot uses your reference to calculate the dimensions you add. AI does not discover the part's physical size. KEEP THE USEFUL DETAILS Add dimension labels, adjust their endpoints and save sketches to return to later. Switching units changes the display, not your underlying geometry. START FREE - Save up to 5 projects. - Export watermarked PNG sketches up to 1000 pixels. - Process images on your iPhone, including when offline. OPTIONAL PRO, ONE-TIME PURCHASE - Unlimited saved projects. - Watermark-free PNG export up to 3000 pixels. - SVG, DXF and PDF export. - Restore an existing purchase with the same Apple Account. DXF contains the 2D outline only, without dimension annotations. PNG and PDF exports are fitted reference drawings, not guaranteed 1:1 printing templates. Check imported files and dimensions in your intended design or fabrication software before use. PRIVATE BY DESIGN No Snaplot account, ads or photo uploads. Image processing runs locally. Apple handles Pro purchases and restoration; these can require an internet connection. Saved projects remain in the app's local storage and may be included in standard device backups. FOR HOBBY REFERENCE, NOT PRECISION MEASUREMENT Use a flat part and photograph it straight-on with your known reference in the same plane. Perspective, outline quality and point placement affect the result. Verify dimensions independently before cutting, printing or fitting parts. Snaplot is not an industrial or safety-critical measuring instrument. Requires iPhone with iOS 17 or later. Available in English and Simplified Chinese.
