Limited options but (some) decent realism

Requires a subscription but only gives you 50 AI generations per week (I ran through these in one night). with no option to pay for more. There are something like 84 options for women’s haircuts but a lot of them seem very similar. More limited options if you’re looking to experiment with color, especially vivids—there are three different shades of purple and two light pinks but no blues, greens, reds, oranges, etc. under primary hair color, plus one turquoise option for highlights. I did like that they offered multiple options for highlight style, but the AI generations ended up producing almost identical results for several of them. Similarly, the haircut generations were inconsistent in realism—it generally did a good job of keeping my hairline in place and some of them looked very realistic, especially the longer and mid length styles. The shorter cuts were really inconsistent in length, with a lot of styles that should have been shoulder to collarbone length coming out as pixies or chin length. Overall, I liked that it was easy to use and produced decent results, but, depending on what you’re looking for, the cut and color options could be limiting (although I think this is a common problem among this kind of app). And the 50 generations/week subscription model is probably fine for casual experimentation but might not be great for those of us on a focused hunt for a new style before an upcoming hair appointment, as I am.

Good User Interface

This app looks polished and shows strong potential, with a user interface that’s intuitive and easy to navigate.

Response from developer

Thanks for the feedback! Making the app intuitive and easy to navigate was a huge priority for us, so we're thrilled to hear that stood out to you.

Yay

This app gives you varying options which I appreciate. If youre having trouble choosing what type of hairstyle or color you want your stylist to do, no fret, this app can do that for you. What’s even better is that it is realistic. No more having to regret the cut or color you got after going to the salon. You can share it as well. So, when you do go to the salon, you can show the generated picture you have. You have more confidence going than asking yourself, “maybe”. I would definitely recommend this if you often change your haircut/hairstyle; or just to see whether or not you want to cut. I think it’s neat that they ask your opinion what other things they should add. Although you do have to pay, there is an option for daily. I won’t be cutting or changing my hairstyle often but in case I need it, 99 cents not too bad.

Response from developer

Thanks so much for your thoughtful review! Helping you feel confident before hitting the salon is exactly why we built this. We're thrilled you're loving the results and hope it continues to help you.

Good but limited

No where did it mention that I was limited to 50 generations a week. Pretty crazy for something that costs $7. I wouldn’t have purchased it if I knew there was a limitation. But otherwise, pretty good and realistic looking if you just want to try some different hair on yourself!

Response from developer

Hi there, thank you so much for trying Snipd and taking the time to share your feedback! We understand that running into a limit can be frustrating. To give a little context, we put a cap of 50 generations in place to keep our servers running smoothly and ensure a fair, high-quality experience for everyone. Out of 1,000+ users, we haven't had a single person hit this 50-generation mark yet! We truly believe this limit provides more than enough room to explore a wide variety of styles while remaining fair to our entire community. We truly value your feedback and want to thank you for being a part of our journey as we grow. We'd love to hear more about your experience and see how we can make things right. Please reach out to us directly at Hypereacom@Gmail.com. We look forward to hearing from you!
