Doesn’t track

I installed the app. Hit track. It showed where i was but tracked nothing for my ski day. I checked at the end of the day…. Zero stats. Useless waste of my time

Wilbere

Please update so GPS tracks the new Wilbere lift! I’ve lapped that lift so many times, but the app doesn’t give me credit for it because it still thinks Wilbere is in its old spot. Otherwise, I’ve been having a blast with the new achievements!

Tracking

The tracking does not work on the app and every time I try to track I start to track it says in my stats no stats yet start tracking. It is so frustrating I have tried deleting the app deleting my account nothing works. Fix the app please!!!

Response from developer

Hi Nissim, Thank you for riding at Snowbird and for trying out the app. We apologize for the tracking issues you experienced last season. The most common issue we've found is around the battery saver mode setting. We'd love to help you gain back those well earned stats next season. Feel free to reach out to marketing@snowbird.com or stop by our office at the start of the season and we'll make sure everything's all good to go!

Notifications need some work

Love the app. Real handy when on the mountain. HOWEVER, notifications are binary, on or off. This app really needs a better option, like allow when using app. I don’t want to know what lifts are running when I’m on the east coast. And I don’t want to forget to turn them back on when I head to SLC again.

Hi Racespleen, Thanks for using the Snowbird app and for riding The Bird! We appreciate the feedback and we're constantly working to improve how we send timely notifications and we definitely don't want to inundate you with unnecessary notifications. Currently we send lift opening/closure messages to app users who has opened the Snowbird app within the last week. We are looking at some potential features to give more customization around app notifications. Keep your eye's peeled for future updates!

Snowbird just wants your money

The app is only there so they can try to sell you a fast pass every single day it snows. They’re like “oh it snowed 1/4” , you wanna enjoy this sick powder day?!? Well upgrade your pass and skip the line 🤪.” Nobody wants to pay extra money for your already trash parking and long lift lines.

What happened?

The tracking used to be spot on for me in seasons past, but this year it just has not been it. At first it just missed tram rides, but would still give me the runs from that lap. Now today it missed two whole laps (Zoomer->Little Cloud->Great Scott-> Wilber back to the bottom of Zoomer, and a run through Get Serious) shorting me nearly half of my vert for the day!!!

Hi Achillen D, Thank you for using the Snowbird App and riding Snowbird. I'm sorry the tracking wasn't as dialed for you this season and we'd love to get it back in working order. We've seen some battery saver app releases that cause guests to have to make additional adjustments to their phone settings that generally fix these tracking issues. If you'd like to give the Snowbird App another try next season, feel free to email us at marketing@snowbird.com or stop by the Marketing office and we'll help make sure you're ready to make it to the top of the leaderboard! Cheers and pray for snow,

Bug Report

This app is amazing. My family and friends love it. However, there are people on the leaderboard who register 40 TOTAL LIFTS in a single day. I’ve done the math, and this is practically impossible. Snowbird is open from 9am - 4:00pm. This is 420 minutes. Assuming you do Peruvian the entire day, an 8 minute chair ride 40 times is 320 minutes. That gives you 100 minutes exactly to do 40 runs, averaging 2.5 minutes per run. This also means there are 0 breaks for stopping, no bathroom breaks, no lunch breaks. Even if you did Wilbere from 8:30-9 and 4-4:30 it still just isn’t possible for someone to sustain that speed and energy for a whole day, let alone the whole season.

There’s a bug in the system counting extra vertical feet / lifts. And the vert feet doesn’t add up with the lifts. Would be AWESOME if you guys could check out and fix the bug, considering people actually win prizes end of year for these stats!

Positives are you can track and meet up with family and friends and see all the runs you did, even the time of day and what lift it’s from. That’s super cool this year! LOVE it

Would otherwise be a 5 star app <3

Dear snowbird

Snowbird needs to get their act together most of the problems in the canyon revolve around you. I have been skiing at snowbird since I was born. I try to go up everyday after school. Snowbird can fix traffic issues, parking issues, and so much more by simply removing ikon pass or reducing the number of ikon passes aloud in the resort. Don’t punish the people who paid exclusively for your resort. Of course this is a stretch but it makes me so sad to see the state our canyon is in. Thank you to the employees that keep the mountain running and dealing with corporates selfish money loving schemes.

Wow

Response from developer

Thanks so much, we're so glad to hear you're enjoying the app. Keep your friends and family close... even on a powder day! Happy skiing/riding!

Great job!

Love all the info and the tracking functionality.

Response from developer

Hi Crookette! Thanks so much for your review and we're glad to hear you're enjoying the tracking features. Happy skiing/riding and we'll see you on the mountain!

Doesn’t appear to save state between phones

Tracking feature is nice for friends. Now I track using Strava, Ski Tracks and this. Switching to a new phone, it doesn’t appear to load state after “registering” on a new phone and I’ve lost my previous stats.

Response from developer

Hi Bigsakana, Thanks so much for using the new Snowbird app. I'm sorry to hear that you last your previous ski stats. If you're moving to a new device, you can regain all of your previous tracking stats by visiting More> Settings> Restore Tracking Stats. You'll receive a code to your email associated with your account. Once you've entered your code, all of your ski tracking stats will be combined, even if you've been tracking on your new device. Feel free to email me at info@snowbird.com if you have any issues combing your stats and I'd be happy to help out!

Avoid the lines

I’m a big fan of the lift wait times. I would always stress about heading over to mineral when it opened after a storm as I didn’t know if everyone would head there at the same time causing a clog to get back to the frontside, now I can check the app and make an informed decision.

I also love tracking in a group. I often ski with my dad and poke into the trees while he skis the groomers and we often had trouble timing up when we decided to wait for each other at the bottom vs riding another lift to catch up on the next lift up. Now we can watch each other and don’t waste time waiting around hoping the other person hasn’t already rode up.

This makes a great mountain even better.

Awesome!

Really cool app, amazing how it can track runs and location of friends in real time! Only thing is now there is no chance to “expand” the number of runs I took!

Sick app for a sick resort

Love the leader board and just how good the app works.

Not good

Not easy to use and the entire point is to reserve parking and it’s not available on the app.

Response from developer

Thank you for your feedback and I apologize for the difficulty booking your parking reservation at Snowbird. Currently booking your parking reservation can not be done directly in the app, but you can access our booking portal located at snowbird.com/parking by visiting "Parking" in the app. We are looking into fully integrating parking into the Snowbird app for future builds.
