About
It's 9 a.m. Sunday. You had three glasses of wine at last night's rehearsal dinner and you need to drive your kid to soccer practice. Are you still over 0.08? Sober Drive gives you a Widmark-formula estimate of your current blood alcohol level and the minutes remaining until you're back under the federal legal limit, plus the longer countdown until you're fully sober.
Log a drink in seconds. Tell the app your sex and weight once, then tap the type of drink (beer, wine, shot, cocktail) and the time you finished it. Add more drinks as the night goes on. The home screen shows a live BAC estimate that decays in real time, the minutes until you cross back under 0.08, and the minutes until 0.00. Utah residents can flip a setting to track against 0.05 instead.
Built for the moments when you actually need an answer. Saturday night after the bar. Sunday morning after the wedding. The Tuesday business lunch where someone ordered a second round. Sober Drive runs entirely on your phone with no account, no signup, and no upload of your drinking history.
Important: this is an estimate, not a legal verdict. Real BAC depends on food, hydration, medications, sleep, and individual metabolism that no app can measure. The legal limit is one threshold, impairment starts well below it, and only you can decide whether to get behind the wheel. If there is any doubt, call a rideshare or sleep it off.
