Went a different direction with this game. I wasn’t sure at first but the more I progressed the more I liked it.

Addicted to this game
I love Kairosoft games and have been a fan for years. I appreciate that this game is offered for free and although it takes a bit to understand the dynamics fully, it is really fun and addictive. I have played and replayed it over the years. Definitely worth trying especially cause it’s free of charge so what have you got to lose?

This game feels like it has an identity crisis and progression doesn’t really feel real
The title of the game is Social Dev Story which makes you believe it’s a social media development simulator or a game where you develop phone apps in general but no it’s actually severely watered down Game Dev Story. There’s also no sense of time passing as there was no year system that I could see and progression didn’t feel like something that existed even when a new platform came out. Also Platforms didn’t feel like Platforms at all. They just company names not actual devices. All you do in this game is make something and watch numbers go up for a few seconds then it goes off the market 5”then the cycle repeats. Progress also feels very slow if there even is any here.
