SoilPhases

SoilPhases is a soil phase relationship calculator for geotechnical engineers and students. Enter any three independent soil quantities and the app immediately computes every other phase property. Choose any valid combination of three quantities as inputs: masses, volumes, void ratio, porosity, degree of saturation, water content, densities, or unit weights. Tap any derived quantity to promote it to an input; the app automatically adjusts the rest of the input set to keep the system physically consistent. A live three-phase column (Air / Water / Solid) shows proportional block heights for each phase. Drag the phase boundaries to redistribute water and air visually while the numbers update in real time. Results are organized into phase quantities, index properties (e, n, S, w), densities (bulk, dry, saturated, submerged), and unit weights, in both CGS and SI. Adjust solid density, water density, and gravitational acceleration, with presets for Earth, Moon, and Mars.
