Solid is solid

Quick, simple, inexpensive.
What more do you want?

love.

i’ve been on a search for an app just like this- everything about it just makes so much sense to my brain. it’s format is so refreshing and restrained. there’s not much going on where it becomes overwhelming and unusable. although, i would love if we could have more color, icon, and maybe font options!!

WOW

Oh my goodness!! I have searched for the PERFECT note taking app and I found it. This is in Landscape for the IPad Pro and easy to use for a grandma like me. A huge THANKS to the developer. You can also create a note and paste from another app. This is beyond WONDERFUL and the cost of $2.99 is even better and no subscriptions to mess with.

Actually a four star app but…

Very solid app in terms of usability but lacks flexibility when it comes to exporting and organising notes. Could be a daily driver and a default notation app if it fixed this but this alone limits what’s possible with the app - let alone the fact that there’s no web app/client. But the exporting situation is more debilitating. When exporting, the files come out in a clunky mess of folders that, if imported into apple notes or anything else, can’t even insert images with the text files… This isn’t much if you’ve written 2-3 notes — but if you’ve written 50+, let alone 100, 200+… can be very cumbersome; like a 2000’s-era Microsoft XP level of monotony. It feels like an app which has fantastic security features like e2e encryption for user privacy would’ve thought this part through to encourage/interest more people into a safer type of mobile experience. Hope they fix this. But except for those parts, the app is fantastic and simple. Some more formatting options and fonts wouldn’t hurt the app, though. Always good to support independent developers. So I say get this, unless you’re a power user with a dropbox/gmail/apple or whatever account (even without); then just wait until they fix this issue then it should be top 3 note apps on the app store market. I stand by that claim. Hope the devs take notice of this issue. We'll see what happens.

Solid notes

Can you fix start up please very slow to start up

Great Notes App

For the most part has replaced my stock notes app and even a couple of my favorites. There are some missing features that would make it even better in my opinion.
*Home View selectable options - Grid / List
*More Note Listing options Bulleted / Checkbox (Included) / Etc
*Indentations and Headings Options

Response from developer

Hello and thank you for the review. You can change how notes are displayed in each Space if you edit the Space and select one column (list view) or two columns (grid view). You can also create multiple headings in the same note if you select the text and make it an H1. I will look into adding more features into the future.

Great

The solid apps are very intuitive to use and beautifully designed.

Notes is simply put a better Google Keep to me.

Wow, just brilliant.

This app has changed my life. In fact, the entire suite of apps. Beautifully put together, everything thawed out exactly how a concise tool should function. I’ve saved so much time, sweat, blood, and tears.!

Ease of use

It’s a clean, nice space for a quick note here and there, but a few things make it a bit frustrating. If I have a checklist, I’d like to be able to quickly enter multiple items. Instead of the usual and intuitive tapping “return” to add a new item, you have to select the + at the top of the checklist for each new item. Also, you cannot add any text below your checklist- only above, which I find very limiting.

Other than that, I’d love to be able to highlight in a color other than grey. Some font options would be a fun added bonus, but not a big deal - it’s a notes app, not a doc editor and I get that.

Overall, with a few tweaks, I’d really like it as my full time notes app.

Great App

its great

Great, would like markdown support

Minimalistic, clean, wide attachment support, onetime purchase makes a great app already. I would love Markdown support, like multiple heading sizes, bullet and numbered lists, etc., to keep in line the systems I have already and to make note taking faster.

Great, would love Markdown support

Clean, minimalistic, one-time purchase, full formatting and multiple attachments a note. I would love to see support bullet lists, numbered lists, and general support for Markdown. I'm on my computer a lot and Markdown makes it easy to bring structure to my notes.

Simple and Solid

The calendar has a plethora of views and the apps are beautiful in their simplicity. Refreshing!

Nice

A really tidy notes app. Easy to use and not over complicated. Had issues with the app and contacted the developer who was so helpful so top marks to his good self and the app. Worth the small fee that’s asked.

Minimalist

I love this app. Because it takes a minimalist design I find it much quicker to jot a note quickly without fiddling around. It’s extremely easy to set up and once opened all you need is laid out for you in a simple interface.
Also allows you to get as detailed as you want if needed with attachments. This just became my number one Notes app.

Sleek, simple, and seamless!

I absolutely love Solid Notes. The seamless synchronization between the mobile and desktop apps is important, and having a native macOS app is a huge plus for me, as it integrates seamlessly into my daily workflow.

The ability to swiftly switch between different spaces (Personal and Work for me) helps organise my notes. The design is refreshingly simple and straightforward, making it a pleasure to use. This app has become my go-to for all things notes and organization. Highly impressed and I hope there are more features coming soon.
