About

Solo is not a money tracker — your broker already does that. Solo is a mirror. Log each trade, then reckon with it. Over time, patterns that are hard to see in the moment become easier to see: the revenge trades after a loss, the weekday that keeps costing you, the size that creeps up after a red day. THE LEDGER Type a trade the way you'd say it — "3 SPY 600c at 1.20, sold 1.60" — and Solo fills in the entry for you to check. On devices with Apple Intelligence it's read by the on-device model; on others, a built-in parser reads common phrasings. Or use the form, with one-tap reuse of recent contracts. Import a Wealthsimple activities export (CSV) and the option trades in it are matched into round trips. THE RECKONING Every trade gets two pages: the record (the figures from your fills) and the reckoning (your thesis, your plan, what actually happened, what you'll change). Grade the execution, not the outcome. Tag the emotion. Your journal saves when you leave the page or the app, and if a save fails, Solo says so and keeps your writing. THE PATTERNS - The tiltmeter: your results in each emotional state you tag, compared with the rest of your trades, in dollars - Day-of-week breakdown: P/L and win rate for each weekday - The desk calendar: each session's net, in green and red - Equity curve, win rate, profit factor, expectancy, drawdown, streaks - An optional daily reminder, and a streak that counts the days you reflect — not the days you win PRIVATE BY DESIGN Your ledger lives on your device, and Solo never sends it anywhere. No account. No sign-up. No servers. No tracking. Trade parsing runs on-device. (Your device's own backups include the ledger, and an export goes wherever you choose to share it.) Built for options day traders. Runs on iPhone and iPad; on iPad the journal opens as a two-page spread: the record on the left, your writing on the right. The ledger is waiting. Write it down before it slips. Solo is a personal record-keeping and reflection tool. It is not investment, financial, or tax advice, and its figures are not a substitute for your broker's statements or your tax documents. Wealthsimple is a trademark of its owner; Solo is not affiliated with or endorsed by Wealthsimple. Apple Intelligence requires a compatible device.

What's New in Solo

0.2.1

October 3, 2026

Corrections first, then a lot that's new. COUNTED ONCE If you log a trade by hand and then import it from Wealthsimple, and the import has the same contract, side, day and number of contracts, Solo now counts it once and keeps your journal. If an earlier import already doubled some, Settings offers to merge them. A sale with no buy in your ledger (bought before your earliest export) is set aside instead of opening a position you never held. HOW IT ENDED Record a position that expired worthless, was assigned or exercised, or settled at a stock price you enter, including a spread held past expiry. SHORTS, AND SAME-DAY RE-ENTRY Log a sold-to-open option by hand. Close a position and take the same contract again the same day, and Solo records two trades, not one bigger one (for trades you log in Solo). OPEN POSITIONS Tap an open position to journal it while it's live, or to edit or delete one you logged by hand. A partly closed position shows what the closed contracts made and what's still open. FROM A PATTERN TO ITS TRADES In Insights, tap a calendar day, a week, a weekday, a ticker, a position size or an emotion, and Solo lists the trades behind it. Each breakdown row shows how many trades it is built on. THIS WEEK, THIS MONTH Narrow Insights and Trades to this week, this month, the last 30 days or this year. Filter Trades by setup, emotion and tag too. WHAT EACH FIGURE MEANS Tap profit factor, expectancy, max drawdown or any tile in The book for a plain definition. "Risk / reward" is now "Payoff ratio", which is what it measured. Tap the cumulative chart to read a day off it. TRUER INSIGHTS Max drawdown is measured on each day's close. The tiltmeter shows your average trade in each emotion against the average of your other trades, and rates one only once it has 5 trades, and 5 outside it. Confidence and "followed your rules" start unanswered instead of filled in. A QUICKER JOURNAL Setup, tags and emotion offer the words you've used before, one tap each. On iPhone the page shows the prompts that fit the trade, with the rest one tap away. Every trade lists its fills. Change a playbook's rules and past trades keep the grade they were given. YOUR FOCUS, IN YOUR NUMBERS The focus you choose puts its breakdown first in Insights and a line on Home drawn from your own trades. Choosing one at first launch is optional. LOGGING "Describe the trade" reads lowercase tickers and more ways of writing an expiry. A new entry starts as an open position, and after recording, "View trade" takes you straight to it. To restore a backup, select both of its files at once. ALSO Home's cards open what they summarise. On iPad, Home adds the month and the tiltmeter, and a keyboard gets Command-1 to 5 and Command-N. Settings can erase the whole ledger after Face ID or your passcode. Faster on a large ledger; text scales to about twice the default size; charts and controls have VoiceOver descriptions; the keyboard always has a Done button.
