Awesome app!
I love this app! I’ve used it for documenting damage assessments for Team Rubicon RECON Team, my county/state initial damage assessment process, FEMA Preliminary Damage Assessment (PDA), my own insurance damage documentation, and when conducting mitigation project assessments. Great documentation tool for easily sharing info with others electronically.
The settings allow me to show my location and bearing towards the target directly on the photo. Very helpful when showing others.
My biggest gripe is that it defaults to taking two pictures. One of which ends up in my photos folder and it is a pain to get rid of them. It would be very helpful to have a way in settings to only take/store one photo.

Hi Steven, Thanks for the feedback! Yes, by default both the stamped and original photos (without overlays) are enabled to autosave to the camera roll. There is a switch to turn each photo type on or off in the Solocator settings screen, so you can set it to save only the stamped photos to the camera roll. Does what I need, but creates a redundant work flow.
I use this app for field cataloging, and it’s straightforward and does exactly what I need. It extracts metadata from photos and displays it as a useful overlay. Battery drain is a bit higher than using the normal camera, but it’s manageable.
My biggest issue is that every photo is saved twice—once in the app and once in the Photos app—with no option to disable the duplicate storage. Deleting these photos is also unnecessarily complicated. You have to take a new photo just to access the in-app gallery, delete the photo, then go to the “Recover Photos” section to permanently remove it. It’s a confusing workflow that doesn’t make sense.
Please add an option to save photos in only one location and simplify the deletion process. It would save storage space and make the app much more user-friendly.

Harvesting personal photos
Every single time I open the app it prompts me to allow access to my entire photo library. If I wasn’t required to use this app for work, it would be deleted. Fix this and I will adjust my review.

dont use the northing and easting i use on the construction site i work, and autocad, so i just lost 7 pounds buying the industry pack and app

I was looking for a reliable camera app with a GPS watermark feature that can be deployed and managed via MDM and also is collecting no data.
This app is easily the best solution I’ve found so far. It covers all requirements and goes beyond that.
The automatic organization of photos, along with seamless saving and cloud upload, is a real game changer for us. It significantly reduces the time needed to collect and manage images.
On top of that, the developer is very responsive and helpful. Well worth the price for both the app and the enterprise features.

Addition Fields
This saves a lot of time. It would be even more brilliant if there was some Custom fields that could be renamed and used for capturing Data. Utilising to Take off assets in a process facility. Manufactory Model, Serial Number etc. currently being diligent and using the Notes Field with a Deliminator so I can strip out the data later from the CSV

Ok app. Wish that they would enable iPhone users to be able to use the camera control button to snap picture on the iPhone. It would be helpful. Reached out to support last October and still have yet to hear back.

I use this tool daily in my work in inspections. It helps tremendously in documentation and legal proceedings.
Update Photos are good, geotagging works well.
The photos are as advertised. There is a wealth of information recorded and I like that an unmarked version can also be saved. I was not able to generated kmz files but the developer pointed out the documentation for this and now all is well. I use Outlook exclusively and that works well to send the output to others. I also like that it manages photo resolution too. It is pretty slick and worth 5 stars.

Photos are good, geotagging is a dead end
The photos are as advertised. There is a wealth of information recorded and I like that an unmarked version can also be saved. However, I have not been able to export to a kml file - it seems the guide refers to an earlier version of iOS. I have emailed for support but I only got silence. I am guessing I can provide the files to a GIS professional, but that is not the efficiency I was looking for.

Great app but you’ll lose all your saved photos if you ever have to wipe your phone
I’ve been using this app since 2017 for taking work photos and had 32gb of past projects saved in the app. Last night my phone bugged out and had to be wiped. I made sure this app was selected for iCloud backup, did a full iCloud backup of my phone, wiped the phone, and restored. Photos from the app never came back, and either did the apps settings. I reached out to the developer, but was told that feature hasn’t been implemented due to other features being prioritized. I now have 8 years of photos gone and can’t come back. My work requires me to use this app or I’d find another one because of this. App has been great otherwise, but I can’t get over this glaring issue and thought you should all know.
