Great App

Love this.

1 star

I’m not using this app because it scams you out of $0.03 a year and 3 cents a year is $10.95,which can go to any thing else

Helpful but very annoying

Sololearn does help with learning but the free plan locks you out 60% of lessons sometimes, and most opportunities to actually type code in lesson, the heart system is very frustrating, a couple miss clicks and you are locked of the app for the rest of the day.

Not the best

It’s an alright app but honestly when you practise it’s a bit unhelpful becuase you can find out how you went wrong without paying extra so you sorta have to keep guessing until you get the right answer and I asked chat gpt and a lot of my ‘wrong answers’ would have been fine for normal phython it just wasn’t alexactly what the app wanted

Fun and learning!

It is making me learn and having lots of fun

Typos

You should make it so if someone makes a typo the still get it correct. I made a typo and it got rid of all my stars. Also onetime I was playing and clicked the correct answer, it said it was wrong so I tried the others and they were also incorrect so I tried the original one and it was correct.

Was amazing now it’s paywall garbage

the latest updates have pretty much ruined the free experience. content that has been available for many years and basic functionality that made the app worth any of your time. All meaningful interaction is gone, locked behind the pro plan. No running code, a broken attempt to prevent copy/paste, no interactive exercises. It’s mid 2026 and you can literally have a personalized tutor to teach you these concepts, have a conversation. They’re trying to squeeze money out of something that’s available freely elsewhere.

Fun Programed Learning

This is a style of instruction from long ago. Break into simple topics and build from the basics. Good Stuff! Easy and productive .

Don’t treat your students like they don’t count

I am an experienced IT person who hasn’t been hands-on in a while. Much of Sololearn is great. The support is abhorrent. It took months th have a simple question answered. All answers are supremely condescending, trite, lacking any real answers.

Where do they get these people? Why do they let this happen? Who is minding the store?

Easy to follow, bite sized learning.

The gamification helps make it fun and easier to stick with as a habit. My only wish is that I wish the help tips / “why you got it correct” was not just a paid AI-feature. But otherwise, I’m enjoying the journey so far!

Habit forming (which is good)

It’s fun learning coding here. I’m a developer after learning coding here.

Good program, pay to play

They really want you to go pro. Technically free, kinda pay to play

Better than Doulingo

As you may know Doulingo has “energy” blek! This app runs on hearts, both matching the theme of code a video game, and leaving its customers feeling content.
