About
Right now, more than four babies are born somewhere in the world every second. Become one of them, and live that person's life to the end through the real statistics of the country they're born in.
■ You can't choose where you're born
Your country is drawn in proportion to real births. A satellite map glides down from orbit to your birthplace, and you learn, one by one: city or village, how your family is doing, how many siblings you have.
■ You can't choose your luck, but you can choose your attitude
Each year, decide where to put your heart: learning, health, people, work or rest. Keep at something for a few years and it pays back. At crossroads like school, work, love, moving and treatment, you choose, and some choices come back decades later.
■ Stories, not numbers
Festivals, a best friend, pets, a sibling's wedding: the texture of everyday life in that country. The illustrated landscape changes with climate, home, family and the time of your life.
■ What you see at the end
A life map with one square per year, a lifetime chart of health, happiness, wisdom and means, where you stood in the world's income, and the lives of five others born in the same moment.
■ Send a friend the same fate
When a life ends, share it as a short story and a card. Whoever opens the link is born as the same baby, in the same country and family, and lives it their own way. You can leave one last line on the card.

■ Data
Statistics for 155 countries from the World Bank's World Development Indicators (CC BY 4.0). Where no statistics exist (the mix of causes of death, how often events happen), the app uses approximations that follow WHO data. Characters and events are fictional. The World Bank does not endorse this app.
This app includes infant death, illness, poverty, child marriage and loss. They're never shown graphically, but if it's hard, the app's "Data & Sources" page lists where to find support.
