Amazing

What an incredible app this is! It ties in beautifully with the space — but the app design and functionality itself is flawless. Shoutout to the creative and product team

a worthy addition to your wellness practice

130 days into my daily meditation practice, and I can earnestly say my first interactions with self-care and transcendent wellness practices were with Ethel’s Club in 2020. their digital oasis, Somewhere Good, is as seminal, revolutionary, and inspiring as their initial offerings during the pandemic.

I highly recommend this app for folks seeking to slow down, listen, and engage in a relaxing, risk-free, and fun daily dialogue centering self.

thank you to the SG team for providing such a wonderful digital container for learning about the self through speaking and listening to others.

What’s the “code hook up”

Is there supposed to be some special password in order to create an account and use the app?

Beautiful but not at all accessible

Not accessible for folks with visual or auditory disabilities. While you can add a transcript to your audio file, literally no one does. I’m disappointed, after originally being told there were accessibility features around the time of the launch.

Somewhere good is the new face of the internet

Ok so I was so excited to try this app out I have heart a lot more things about it now that I am using it. I honestly love it so much something about being able to say something with your own voice that makes it feel so authentic! I would just say I hate that you can’t reply to replies with an audio message back:( and I wish you could choose what kind of emojis to reply with. Also I wish there were more worlds or a way to choose things you like and have more worlds that cater to that genre like cooking or fashion etc.Besides that it is a great app and I can see it being frequently used and very popular in the near future. It’s a great way to connect with different people. I love the format of everything and the way it’s set up it’s honestly something I look forward to participating in a lot and when people reply I’m all happy🙊I really hope more people get into this app fr!

It can be fun and de stressing!

I’ve been using this app for a week now and I’ve really enjoyed it. It’s been nice to let some of the thoughts in my head out into an open space. I really like how the questions focus on mental health, the world, and personal feelings. Nothing was too thought invoking or challenging in a way that would be stressful. I also like how there is limited social interaction. You don’t have to interact with others unless you want to! Would recommend for someone looking for some mental health routine.

This is somewhere good

The title is intriguing, the color palette is very inviting, the use of motion and design is inspiring and once you download the app and you enter the world, it is very rewarding. I’ve always said we need to start conversations more and more conversations about real life things & emotions This is it this is literally the starting point of somewheregood

Sense of Community

I really like how this app has a sense of community. Nevertheless you could go in anonymous or regular and still feel wanted and comfortable. I think using voice memos is a smart move to allow each other to connect and truly feel the emotions of others. It gives off similar vibes of a text voice memo rather than like a podcast.

Fun for finding new faces and voices

I have enjoyed my time using the Somewheregood app so far! The prompts are so thought provoking and I love exploring the thoughts from all of the app’s contributors. Would recommend to all my creative friends!

This is so engaging

I like how personal but also how collective this app is. It’s really interesting hearing the responses of strangers, it feels like I’m able to connect with someone I’ve never met. Hearing their voice also helps form that connection. The prompts are very interesting cause they’re things I don’t necessarily think on the daily
I’m excited to see how this app grows as more people join! Thank you!! <3

Creative way of communicating!

I’ve had so much fun listening to what people think on various topics and learning about different cultures and lifestyles. This app is super easy to use and access and allows you to meet new people on a more intimate level than just texting. I also loved sharing my thoughts on different topics/prompts that I had never even thought about. There’s a wide variety of topics to talk about and they’re always changing to keep you talking. 10/10 recommend!

Darling voice memo app <3

Such a pleasure to hop on this app and spill my little thoughts from my mind. Everyone has quirky memos about themselves— it’s so fun to listen and learn more about my fellow humans :)

So Comforting!

I love this app, I’ve never used anything like this. It’s so comforting to hear everyone’s responses and be able to reply back. This app has also helped me in opening my voice and be able to voice my opinions. I’m really enjoying this app and the community of it.

Good app with potential

Seems to be in a very good state technically. But there is a completely different feel to this than other social media spaces. There is something super personal about using your voice instead of just typing things. I would love to see what becomes of this

I haven’t fallen in love with an app like this before.

I wrote a review and App Store decided to play with me, so here is a redo. I really love this app. I genuinely enjoyed every second of using it. I had no technical difficulties and it has such a personal design feel that my brain was fully engaged, and for someone with ADHD, the app was easy to navigate and kept me stimulated.
I think Somewhere Good will change the course, style, and future of communication for the next decade. I can already see communication students analyzing its impact in their college courses.
Social Media apps are great and all, but they feel generic, monetary, and give no space for authenticity and honest communication the way Somewhere Good does. The prompts alone give space for people to not only show up as themselves, but to also engage in conversations that bring out feelings and topics that may seem taboo, not easily discussed, etc. I think also the way conversations and prompts are set up gives people the chance to directly and intimately communicate and respond and feel like apart of a community.
I can already see the app being used to share spoken word poetry, songs, book club meetings, etc.
I love it. I know all of my friends and I would constantly use it, and I really wish we had it during quarantine.

Something Great

At first I was hesitant about this app as I didn’t entirely understand the concept, but as I used it more I found myself engaging in conversation and thinking of topics I never would simply think of on my own. Would definitely recommend for those looking to get out of their comfort zone and have some socialization from the ease of voice memos!

No lie

I thought I was going to feel like this was work but really it feels good to talk on here. You’d be surprised at the answers ppl give and the love you get on here. Great app!

A safer space

I love listening to meaningful discussions in-person and this app is online version of a safer space. It’s helpful for a social introvert like myself to feel comfortable sharing my stories!

Cathartic

This app is pretty cool. It’s got a pretty intuitive interface. And it encourages introspection while also letting you gain perspective from other people.
