Sonarpad 0.4.0 introduces many new features and important accessibility improvements. Added SonarTube, the new integrated system for searching and playing YouTube videos and channels directly in Sonarpad. You can browse videos, channels and playlists, add content to favourites, read video transcripts when available and browse comments. Channel videos can also be sorted by Newest, Oldest or Popular. Added Media Cutter for editing personal audio and video files. Guided Cut and Advanced Cut are available, with precise cut-point adjustment, preview, restoration of removed sections, video rotation and more reliable export. Numerous audio effects have also been added, together with the ability to add a new audio track, such as background music, with separate volume controls. Improved Documents with multiple selection and paragraph deletion, multiple bookmarks in the same document, a sleep timer, remaining reading-time estimates and the ability to rename documents. Opening TXT, RTF and EPUB files has also been improved, including table of contents, chapters and footnote support. Improved News with more reliable article extraction, new sources shared by the community, article sharing from secondary actions and the ability to share the full text as a TXT file. Custom RSS sources can also include accessible links to documents and multimedia content. Improved Podcasts with episode date selection, chapter support when available, alphabetical sorting of subscribed podcasts and new options to view and clear the cache. Improved accessibility for lists and text fields with VoiceOver. Several long lists now support the Select Letter command, and all editable text fields include an accessible command to quickly clear text or search content. Improved video playback, including full-screen display. Movie trailers can now be played directly in Sonarpad’s player. Improved Edge voices with clearer labels and greater reliability when the connection is unstable, thanks to automatic retry attempts. Expanded Routes with support for additional countries and added the Open Route button to quickly open the device’s navigation app. Weather now shows current air quality using the European AQI. Added complete German, Simplified Chinese, Brazilian Portuguese and Ukrainian localisations. The iPhone interface has been extensively updated for iOS 27 and all screens now use UIKit, improving list navigation with VoiceOver. Secondary actions can also be opened with a double tap and hold. Numerous general improvements to stability, accessibility, screen-reader focus, localisations, media playback and file handling.
