About
Song Cues is a digital music player for customized playback of Apple Music playlists. Users can cue songs to fade-in, fade-out, start later, or end earlier, and they can customize how their playlists are shuffled. In contrast to current mixing apps, this app provides a hands-off listening experience, applying cues and settings that the user has pre-defined. This app does not modify files in your music library.
Ownership of songs is required to apply cues but is not required to apply customized shuffle settings and additional features. Additional features include an auto-pause after five or ten songs, a "sessions" feature that allows switching playlists and not hearing the same song twice, the ability to designate multiple versions of a song so that only one version is played during a session, and the ability to create subgroups within a playlist to adjust the likelihood that songs within those subgroups will play in a shuffle.

What's New in Song Cues
2.0
May 12, 2026
Version 2.0 of SongCues now plays songs that are available through an Apple Music subscription, even if those songs are not owned. Playlist settings now apply to both owned and unowned songs. This update also adds the option to import cues and playlist settings previously created on the same device or another device.
