It won’t work

When I select a song after I can’t leave the song I have to delete and reinstall the app

Not Recoding Data

The data isn’t recording any music I’ve listen to it’s usually shows after I listen to a song .

Love this app. Please screen sleep prevention

This app is simple, clean and exactly what I am looking for except phone screen locks after a min. Please add a setting to disable screen lock when app is running.

Won’t work

I would most likely write a great review for this app if it would even let me do anything. Every time I download the app, it says “NO DATA Play a song to extract it details” and I play a song but it still doesn’t work. I’ve done this about 4 or 5 times and it’s still not working.

App is outdated and no longer works with newer updates

This app hasn’t worked with the past couple of updates and it seems like the developer hasn’t made any updates to the app in years.

No longer working

It worked great up until the new iOS update.

It’s exactly what it needs to be but...

I love the ability to see my data on my favorite songs and the UI is easy to use and it’s simple. My only problem is that it only works with Apple Music, and I think this app could grow a lot more if it had both Spotify and Apple Music compatibility. But other than that one thing the app is great keep up the work!

Broken since iOS 14

Won’t load any data

No support. Can’t exit once I’ve selected a song

Just downloaded this and tried but now I see there’s only one review from 5 yrs ago. The app support link is broken and once in the app and you’ve selected a song to read the data, it’s impossible to exit. Even ‘swipe quit’ won’t stop it!! Very frustrating, please fix this bug.

Not completely accurate

I like the info it provides, but the play counter isn’t accurate. There are songs I’ve listened to everyday for like three years and it says average 100 plays. Not sure why that is?

Doesn’t show correct song listen amount

Looked through my songs that should have at least 100 listens due to having them for years and listening to them daily and it says 4 listens. The app needs to be fixed and updated.

Love the app!

I use it everyday. It’s kind of bare bones in the fact that it only shows the current song playing, but it’s fine. I honestly just wish the app developer could update the icon to look more..current lol. To go with the minimalistic style in 2019. Kinda stands out from the rest of my apps.

Response

I had use this app previously & I recall you could check other music on device; not just currently playing.

Now it seems only gives info on current song playing?
If can view other song/s, help?

Glad it’s free

Doesn’t rank songs and the play counts are inaccurate.

Very Accurate

What would make this app even better, is if you could create an account and save your Song Data

Finally, visible play count while mobile!

My original review: I've long used play count in iTunes on Mac and Windows laptops and desktops to track what I listen to most and compare how quickly new music bubbles to the top and what artists and songs reliably stay at the top of my choices to play. Since buying an iPhone last year, it has been greatly freeing to no longer be tethered to my computer while listening but it has been frustrating to lose visibility to how many times I've played songs, other than through relative comparisons in play count-based playlists. Finally, the SongData app restores that visibility!

I'm guessing that this app hooks into data in memory for the current song being played and that's why it only shows the current song being played and not a list of songs in the library and their play counts, but that is a vast improvement over no visibility. Accepting that limitation, this app is more than sufficient and does what it does perfectly.

Update 2018-09-04:
Thankfully, the iOS Music app has restored the ability to see (and set!) star ratings. I still use this app occasionally to see the last time I played a song and the play count. It is solid and does what it does very well, and the feature to show album art at screen width is a nice perk.

Amazing app

I love this app, cause Apple is to mental to understand that some people wanna see play count on their phones, so thank you to this app

Can’t use

Literally was able to pick one song and now can’t move on or back to library - even after closing.

4.0 Update

The new update definitely has a better look to it. I know that this suggestion may be quite a stretch and it’s just an idea, but it would be very interesting to add the feature of when a song was first played. I’m not sure if it’s even able to track that data, but if it’s possible, that would be a great feature to incorporate. Overall, this app is super awesome for keeping track of music!

One of the things Apple forgot

This little gem is really useful in letting you see the song metadata in the iPhone itself. I’m so glad the author continues to update
