Confusing
This apps instructions do not coincide with what actually happens. Toolbars arenโt at the bottom, they are at the top. Sections donโt open, there are icons that seem to have no functional use, and all in all, as a first time user, I was frustrated within the first 30mins. Not at all intuitive. Canโt figure out how to save to folders and so it goes on. Deleted it.

I have mixed opinions about this I love the song that I wrote but I canโt see what I am typing so I makes it harder and also at the start it tells you how to do stuff like record it but it does not show you how to do it so I got a bit stuck but the more I have been doing it the better but still I have been playing this for quite a long time and still get confused ๐

Doesnโt work
I couldnโt get the app to actually place chords in the song. Also when I choose the synonyms or rhymes option the app shuts down. I tried both the iPad and iPhone version and saw the same issues.
Not intuitive.
So I start to write lyrics and the screen goes white while you type.Only when you finish can you see the lyrics.I must be doing something wrong cause this is a dumb way to type.Not being able to see what you type.
Crashes
For several weeks it was working I used it on stage during multiple performances now it has crashed multiple times not saving hours worth of work I have purchased a different app that I Will now use in place of this app terrible job after buying this one and have it crash without any reason.
Question
While in edit. When Iโm done with the first line and the try to add a second line the prompt disappears. When I go out of edit I see the words. Why canโt I see them while Iโm writing?
Great BUT......
The app itself is great, as a note taker, however as for song writing it doesn't work, the Rhyme and Synonyms section just crash back to Home Screen.
I am using a dated iPad 2 so it may be that but I'm sure this must have been tested on all formats.

Unusable
I start typing and adding text and the keyboard pushes the text screen out of sight rendering the entire app basically unusable.

Couldnโt enjoy
I wanted to test the rhymes and synonyms thing and it kicked me from the app evrey time and erased the song I was working on. Donโt waste your time with this crap

It looks like a good app at first, but once I opened this app every time I tried to make another line it would let me all the words would just disappear. And wonโt even let me put cords down. Someone can please respond to this, please write down help for me because I canโt get this thing to work.

This is totally useless. It tells me I can import lyrics via Dropbox- you cannot
Lyrics typed into it take an age. It keeps taking the place where you are writing Obote the line so you cannot read what you have just typed.
The only part that works is the changing of chords if the key is changed. A complete waste of money. I am looking for something else. Life is far too short to keep trying to make this work. Is the writer able to reply to this!!!!!!!!!!

This started out as a good app, but slowly it has gone down.
I began happy. Worked well, better than I could have hoped. Then, as time has gone by, I have discovered bugs that seem to be getting worse with every use. To my mind, if you have an app, you need to make it easy for people to be able to get help when things go wrong. Instead, so far all I have is blank walls. Not good.
The issue revolves around the typing on the screen disappearing off screen as I type. If I add an extra line, the type returns, but if I then try to remove that line, the type goes.
Very frustrating. However, I went to report this to see if it can be fixed, but found that I have no idea how to do so, as the program asks for an email address to be registered, but gives you no way to do so, and if it is asking for the system email address, then why canโt it find it? Every other program can! These are issues that need to be sorted before I will give this a higher rating.

Need to update
Since the latest update this ap doesn't work correctly. I liked it before that. Hope they update so that it works again
Fix It!
I used to love this app. Then I switched to a different ipad... When I start typing, my page scrolls up automatically so that I can't see my lyrics. There may be more, but I haven't made it that far yet. Please fix this!!
This app stinks
Are u guys kidding me!!! U say u can put chords where u want them and they only display in display mode. Well no chords are popping up. Maybe itโs my I pad mini 4 but other than that itโs an ok app

Since the last update this app is unusable. You canโt add section. Everytime you add chords it takes you to the bottom of the page, the chords space the lyrics in a weird way. Please please sort it out. ;-(
Please fix the glitches!
Iโve been using Songwriter HD for several years and love it but just upgraded to an IPad Pro. I was having several issues so I deleted and reinstalled the app. I then tried Songwriter HD L but have the same issues.
1. If I rotate the iPad to landscape for ease of typing, I canโt see my lyrics.
2. I type the first line and when I start the second, it shifts the text to the left so I canโt see the first part of each line because itโs off screen.
3. When I click to add a new section,...chorus, etc. nothing happens.
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE HELP!!!...and soon! Iโd like to give more stars.

Not working since last update
I used this app extensively and found it very useful, but it has not worked properly since the last update.
The font is now very small, I can't add a new section and lines of text are hidden rendering it totally unusable.
This is a great shame as I was very please with it before. Hopefully, the developer is working on this?
