+1 star for fixing the bugs. Now I can actually use the app on iOS 4. Will need time to use the app before I can post a review on the features though.

Um... Titling a folder doesn't even work. I'm a professional songwriter. This app is a great idea but is very disappointing. If they fix it I'll write a better review but as of now the software needs major help. Recording doesn't work either. Bummer and so far a waste of 2 bucks.
Great idea but the app needs to work
Don't buy this app until they fix it. I have a 3Gs with 4.0 and the app doesn't record, the record stop button doesn't work so I have to cancel to get off the page. I tried to ad a note and I couldn't. I stopped testing the app there. This app really needs help
Finally, an audio notepad geared towards songwriters
I bought this app for one specific part: the ability to link a short audio recording with text, in an app that isn't geared towards lecture notes. For that, this does *exactly* what I want, with the added ability to deeply categorize projects and work with folders. There isn't another app like this in the App store, so it's definitely worth $2 for this alone, and that's what earned the app four stars.
Email export is nice, but it's a bit...weird. It's nice that the audio notes come long for the ride, and you can add multiple notes (great!), but it's weird that they're in Core Audio Format. Why not something more immediately usable, like AIFF or WAV? Also, the emailed text destroys all formatting, with all the text sent as one long line...annoying when dealing with lyrics.
The rest of the app is pretty bare-bones. I'd prefer it if the rhyme dictionaries weren't online versions, as they come up complete with banner ads. That, and I'm on an iTouch, so it's of limited usefulness to me. Also, there is no connection between the different sections: it'd be nice if you could tap at the metronome and have it paste that information into your current song info, or generate a click for the recorded audio notes. This is targeted towards musicians, who will probably already have a good tuner and metronome (the benefit of having a tuner in-app will not replace my Peterson strobe). At the end of it all, I'd prefer it if the Dev would focus on the heart of this app - the audio notepad - and flesh that out.
I'd love to see this move in the direction of a basic musical notepad: include the ability to add chord notation (or link up chord ideas with words in the notepad!), and a piano keyboard to make a recording of simple musical phrases. This has great potential, and I can't wait for it to reach its full potential.
