I want to love this app as much as I hate it sometimes but unfortunately it’s a lot of both. I’m not one to review apps and this might actually be a first for me. I’m only doing this because I hope someone is listening that can fix these issues. And if you do, I give you my word that I will update my review if that is allowed. The app FREEZES randomly and crashes. Secondly an undo button would be really great for when it glitches on a freeze and you accidentally delete an entire section.

Buggy for me
I’m on an iPad Pro
I used the demo and liked it, so subscribed several months ago.
I have never been able to log in. A screen is spinning saying it’s updating and to contact them if it doesn’t update. I don’t know how to contact the developer as the app is unresponsive so I can’t get to an info or help screen. Total waste of money so far.
I’m going to up my efforts to get the app running but otherwise will cancel.

Great app!
This app is easy to use and makes simple words and phrases into a song. Good work developers!
Really Disappointed
I purchased this app years ago when it was just starting out, when it was originally a paid app and once you paid the less than $5 it was yours to keep. Really disappointed to see that this developer sold out and started a premium subscription, and even more disappointed that they couldn’t grandfather-in those who already purchased the app. Just plain greedy. The “free” version (which actually wasn’t even free for me as I originally paid money to buy the app) is basically unusable.

While our old version was a great proof of concept, it had a limited infrastructure that prevented us from introducing the most requested features from our customers. As a result, we built a new foundation with an upgraded writing experience. It features automatic backups, multi-device sync, and advanced writing tools, including improved chord functionality, light multi-tracking, and new rhyme/word tools. No Accessibility Options
This looks like a useful app. I would love to try it, but there is absolutely no way to make the text larger. There is some implementation of the systemwide text accessibility, but it does not do anything to the actual text for song lyrics. So the app could be great, but if I can’t see it, it is completely useless. It is very sad when developers do not prioritize accessibility from the start.
I planned to write the developer directly, but the links in the app to request support or suggest a feature seems to require that I use the built in Apple Mail app. I do not, so I have no way to reach out the to developer. Overall, this was a bad app experience.

It’s the best I have used!
Well organized, stable app with useful rhyming access and online back up. I highly recommend it.
A word of caution
Good app with impressive customer service, but if you use it, be sure to keep a spare backup of your songs.

I wanted to share my disappointment with the recent update of Songwriter Pro, an app that I’ve relied on for years. Unfortunately, this update has brought about a glitch that has locked me out of my extensive library of lyrics. As a dedicated user, this has been an incredibly frustrating experience.
I reached out to the Songwriter Pro team to address the issue and was advised not to delete and reinstall the app for now. However, this problem has persisted for weeks, leaving me unable to access my precious lyrics. The current version of the app has put everything I have written in jeopardy, and I am now locked out.
I urge the Songwriter Pro team to prioritize fixing this software issue as soon as possible. In the meantime, I kindly request assistance in recovering my lyrics. It is disheartening to encounter such a roadblock, especially after years of loyal usage.

App lost my songs
Opened Songwriter Pro today, screen first offered free trial for new subscription service, which I declined, then taken to a the Home Screen which was frozen. Restarted iPhone several times in an email unsuccessful attempt to make it work, then reinstalled app, which didn’t help, then agreed to the 14 day free trial of the subscription. Now none of my many, many songs show up on the Home Screen. Years worth of work has vanished. I sent a message to the app and, if they can retrieve my songs, I will update this review. For now, my advice is back up your songs if you can and stay away from this app.

Why must you update to destroy your app
Every few weeks they update the app to destroy it. Just now it’s taking over an hour to update the app. There are massive games with much more IP and advanced programming yet this takes more time to update. Terrible product due to incompetent updates and unrealistic updates not worth your time
This App is horrible
I would give this app zero stars if I could. Song lyrics have deleted on there own, not once or twice, but on multiple occasions. Decided I cannot continue using. Make sure your song lyrics are saved elsewhere, or you will screwed.
Great customer service
Latest update had my files missing but customer support got then back for me. Great overall. Would be amazing if app worked for Spanish speaking songwriters but currently it does not.

A great songwriting tool.
I downloaded this app a few days ago to help in writing and organising my original songs. I took me a while to get familiar with it but within a couple of days (just experimenting) I had the lyrics for two new songs done.
The app is very songwriter friendly and intuitive…..I really like it and I highly recommend it for beginners and advanced songwriters alike.
The support team are really friendly and helpful and they have told me of some new features to come soon….I’m really looking forward to that! Great app.

Lost 4 years worth of Work
Bought the pro version in 2020, had to sell the iPad. When I brought a new one and logged in again, the app doesn’t have any record of my songs. And support cannot recover it.
