App bug - unable to connect device
App will most times not connect to device. Requires several app closures & reconnection attempts to connect. Once one closes the app, you go through the above to connect again. Not fit. Please fix.

Who built this? Who built a web based login on a TV Remote app that logs you out every while? It’s a TV remote app and I’m supposed to login to my Sony account when I urgently need it to lower the volume or something? No brain dev, please, learn about token stateless authentication and auto token refresh, never ask users to re-login in order to turn the volume down - it’s much easier to find the remote than that.

Syncing issues
Need to remove devices almost daily and re add to get the picture and sound to match. I understand the sync sound delay, most of the time the sound is coming before the picture starts speaking.
Be nice if it stopped crashing
Love Sony products but this app leaves a lot to be desired. Come back to it a day later and it can’t reconnect…over and over again the same problem. Using the app with a Bravia 9 II 65inch tv. Meh at best!
Hijacked by a Roku controller…
Have the TV, have the remote, have the app (obviously). Roku is HDMI 1. TV load to Roku. TV’s remote is useless and the app, can’t connect. Yes idiot checks for WiFi were done, even tried to reset and reconnect to tv as new… nope, didn’t recognize any devices (the TV).

Unreliable
It works about 50% of the time. Otherwise, I can find the TV, but it cannot connect to the TV it found. Sony support has been rather unsupportive.
Worthless
Garbage, made a sound bar so advanced that it can’t even connect to a Bluetooth phone!

Great Sound, Frustrating Connectivity
My Bravia 8 II TV connects without any issues, but the Bravia Theatre Quad frequently disconnects from the app. Every time I want to calibrate or change the audio settings, I have to remove the Quad system and pair it again. I've tried suggested fixes from Reddit, such as turning Wi-Fi off and back on, but nothing works. After reconnecting, it stays connected for about a week at most before the problem returns.
If you're someone who sets it up once and rarely changes the audio settings, it's a fantastic system with amazing sound. The real issue is the app and its unreliable connectivity, not the speakers themselves.
For a premium system, I expected a much more reliable experience. Sony really needs to address this with a software update.

Update has killed the app
The latest app update has made the app useless in my house… I can no longer find my TV that has been controlled by this app in the past.

Je voulais utiliser la fonctionnalité de télécommande de l’application, me permettant de commander ma TV Sony directement depuis mon smartphone et de ranger ma télécommandes physique dans son tiroir. Malheureusement, chaque fois que je quitte l’application et que je reviens, la configuration de ma TV est supprimée sans raison apparente et je dois systématiquement refaire toute la connexion entre l’application et la TV pour chaque utilisation. Ce n’est clairement pas pratique, ça n’a même pas de sens, il semblerait que ce soit surtout une application à usage « unique » pour configurer le système un point c’est tout, et éventuellement venir modifier une configuration de temps en temps. Dommage. Je n’ai pas essayé le reste des fonctionnalités pour le moment.

Should be Bravia disconnect
It continually disconnects from my 2024 Bravia 8, I have a Yamaha receiver and both their apps stay connected .
