Never connects

I don’t need the remote functions, but I need to use it as a monitor. At Work work on an android but for my Apple it never connects. It’s all set to connect and start and just never does. This app is useless. And the fact that they leave it here without any viable updates to fix the issues is irritating.

Hassle

Unbelievably unreliable

Never works

Never connects to camera. Update this app.

Connecting is clumsy and unreliable.

Once set up, this application should connect instantly (less than 0.5 seconds) to Sony camera. Whenever I attempt to connect, I have to try IEM and a third party application alternately for 2-10 minutes to get one of them to connect. Generally, unless there is a serious need for remote control, I just don’t bother after a couple of iterations. For Sony to pander such garbage is inexcusable. Consider for wildlife photography? Forget it!

This app is literally terrible

Connect to the camera; it fails. Connect again, it fails again. Try logging in, you need a code via email, open email application and the imaging app goes back to the Home Screen so you can’t even enter a code, you need to start over. Start over, send a code, open browser to find code, imaging app goes back to home screen. It’s 2026, there’s no reason why a company as big as SONY, charging hundreds to thousands of dollars, for their app to be so underdeveloped. Returning my camera, I don’t like greedy corporations with mediocre services and expensive products!
Oh and try to use an Apple laptop… doesn’t even work. Hellooooo, most people have Apple products!! I see why this app has low reviews. Goes to show how cheap these companies are, while making their products seem worth the price. DO NOT BUY A SONY CAMERA!

Outdated App Won’t Ever Connect

I have the Sony ZV-E10 and it never connects. I’ve even reset everything to start over again. Shame I can’t use the remote functions. Do better, Sony!

This is not the app you’re looking for 👎

Bad, felt like a scam?

Hi

Esto es lo pero nunca se quiere conectar a mi teléfono

This app is pretty good!

It could connect to my Sony handycam easily but I don’t know how to transfer videos of photos yet

Works great for me

Never write reviews, but the app worked perfectly fine for me. I have the Sony Alpha 6000 and I was able to connect it and upload my photos relatively quick. While it was a bit confusing at first I just looked through the instructions on the app and the photos got sent to my phone within a minute.

Horrible

I have a Sony EV Z10 and the app never connects. I always have to use a computer. I’ve tried connecting multiple times and I always receive the same message, “Connection failed.”

Poor

Surprisingly clunky. Such a contrast to the £3.5K Sony camera which I use this app with. I don’t understand how Sony could’ve produced such a poor application. They dropped the ball on this one. Please develop and release a better version of this. It’s not really gonna cost so much is it, to produce something good that doesn’t drop connection if it’s having a bad day.

Poor image transfer quality

Downloaded to transfer photos to another device since I couldn’t find my SD card reader. Unfortunately, even after selecting original file size, the transferred files were JPEGs (not RAWs, as I shoot) with file sizes under 1mb each - completely useless for importing into an editing programme. Disappointing that this is an advertised feature that does not at all work well.

If you thought Fujifilm's app was bad...

You ain't seen nothing until you try this steaming pile of garbage

Terribly useless app

The app makes it impossible to sign in from the same device: the sign in page disappears when you switch apps to check your email for the verification code. Which necessitates attempting to sign in again. Which will require a new code. Wash, rinse, repeat. I guess I’ll try it later when I have access to a second device.
Once signed it, it demands full access to your photos library. Can’t connect via Bluetooth and the WiFi connection seems useless outside of something doing with my photos library.

Not a very helpful app

Terrible user interface and the instructions are not helpful for connecting to phone.

You neeeddddddd several updates

😡

I wish it worked better

It is so unreliable as to be tedious

App errors

The app now gives errors whenever trying to export pictures. Not with the frustration and better off just plugging the as card into your computer or phone.

What an Embarrassment to Sony

This is probably the worse app I have ever attempted to use. I can believe that Sony would even make it available. It needs a major overhaul, or just blow it up! Seriously Sony, what the …?
