Never anyone to swipe
I’m a gay man using the app and there’s never anyone to swipe from. I don’t get any notifications of when I can swipe again. Like I check maybe twice a week and it always says “come back soon, for now we’re only showing a small batch of people per day” but this ALWAYS comes up. I might as well delete the space it’s taking on my phone.

I love SOON
Finally a non-weird way to meet singles in person without having to endlessly swipe on apps constantly and start convos that almost never lead to dates. I love SOON and use it every week!
A modern dating app
I really like marching with someone with the intention to meet. Removes some insecurities. Also, went on to speed dating event with them and it was well organised and everyone had a great time! They also did a personal profile consultation for free which is amazing! I was highly recommend checking out the app.

Surprisingly Better Than Hinge
There’s a specific kind of person that lives in SF & Soon does a really good job of directing the user experience towards intention & asking people out. It is a step improvement over Hinge which was a step improvement over Tinder/Bumble/etc. Surprisingly enjoying it so far. Intentionality is something that is missing from any dating app that exists, & if you’re serious about finding someone, those features are appreciated. Soon curates a good experience for this.

Worst dating app
Long wait time to get approval. Not worth the wait.
Cuts thru the noise
Love that u get straight to the point and just meet. Also their blind dating event was super fun
Great new Dating App
This is a really nice app, very well designed and isn’t bloated with fake/old profiles. However in my personal experience, I haven’t gotten a single like or match on here(I check everyday) which bum's me out.
Getting back out there!
A lovely, direct way to meet cool people
Neat Fun Fresh New app!
Love the fresh concept of this app. Never ending small talk that goes no where is what I hate about dating apps - this cuts right through that and allows you to propose a time to meet AND provides you a bunch of cool date ideas and locations. ✨🤩💛
obsessed
found the love of my life…. and it fun was doing it!!!!!!!!!!
good customer support
customer support was good
good effort
I like the dedication of the team, really open and responsive. Didn’t feel like I was just another number to them. They even added one of my suggestions in so they do listen
love this dating app
I’ve now had a handful of dates in the SF area through soon. I’ve had a great experience with the app — its been great to connect with other folks who want to meet in person!
Reeks of techie4techie
Besides the obvious bugs and room for improvement, really resent the major points of your profile are your education and profession. Gross!!
Fresh take on dating
Sure there ar lots of dating apps out there, but this one was worth a try. After all, it’s growing, and it’s easy to see the selection of matches grow along with new features each week. Here are some takeaways:
Pros:
- intuitive app design, pretty easy to navigate
- post date journaling. Haven’t seen this on any other apps. This is a nice way to recount a date and keep track of how it impacted you.
- integrated bar and restaurant API. Unlike other apps, this one really does make it easier to align on a place and time to meet. It makes the conversation with the match go smoother and really connect on the date.
Cons:
- new features coming out weekly, so it can feel like you are beta testing at times, but it also is a great way to give feedback. Feels like the developers are listening
- take a little time to get approved. Results in filtering out fake accounts, but can take time to get accepted
Overall this feels like a fresh new take on dating. It seems some of the negative posts have more to do with dissatisfaction with the way the app is promoted than the app itself. I can see this taking off and competing with hinge and bumble, etc.

Worst dating app yet
The founders posted flyers all over SF and it attracted the grimiest group of people to the app. Hinge, raya, the league all started off with refined communities, but Soon has attracted the worst sort. Also the “glimpses” are so cringe. Deleting fast.
Onboarding etc
I felt really ‘stalked’ by this app. You have to wait for approval and be admitted to the app. It's a terrible user experience where I felt like someone real was stalking and personally messaging me on my phone. Also, this is basic but center alignment for long texts is not legible.
Same people as all the other apps
you see the same people on Hinge, Bumble, Tinder except they also have a cringey video
solid execution
i hate spending time talking over text, so this was great! also local to sf so smaller dating pool but better candidates :) met someone special
Super fun!
I’ve been loving this so far, as someone who hates wasting so much time going back and forth chatting on apps, this feels like a nice way to blur in person with online dating. Excited to see it grow!
