The New Update is Terrible
This new update made the experience extremely unpleasant. I hate it.
You were supposed to improve it, not taking all the good stuff and turn it into this messy hard-to-handle thing.
If you don’t make it good and enable the images (like the web version) then you are really bad and I will cancel my subscription and encourage others to do so.

Latest update is a disaster!
I am not sure what were you thinking but you messed up everything! The user experience is awful!
Love the content, hate the UX
Log in, want to download? Ok log in. Now you’re logged in, we need you to log in! Come on. This is preposterous. Fix the bug and you’d be 4 stars!
Disappointed.
But this is not compatible with Yoto despite advertising that it is. Can’t get these stories on Yoto. Can’t get them on a Yoto card. No support that I know of, but I’ll update this review should that change.
It’s not screen free if me or my child has to use it on my phone to play the content. Can’t get any of this on a Yoto card.

To transfer stories from your Sooper Books app to Yoto, simply open any story or series in the Sooper Books app and tap Download to Yoto. Once synced, it will appear in your Yoto library, where you can play it directly or link it to a Make Your Own card. If you need any help at all, please email support@sooperbooks.com and we’ll be happy to assist.
Disappointing
This app is a complete disappointment. The audiobooks are repetitive and poorly narrated with a voice that kids dislike.
Bad value
No captions or text are provided. Considering the very high subscription price I think this is poor value. Avoid.
Disappointed with the app considering how much I paid for a lifetime membership
It is almost impossible to login to the app because the UI is poor. You have to put the password in first because you can’t scroll down after you enter in your email. Also, when you’re searching for stories, if you click into one then you go back to the search, you have to start from the very beginning instead of where you left off… this makes searching unnecessarily cumbersome. Also, there aren’t very many story options for my 4 year old. Seems like you are in developing stages so I will stick it out for a couple weeks but will likely ask for a refund. Currently it’s worth 77£ even if it’s a lifetime membership.

Misleading app
They make it look like the app is from the BBC but it’s not - the app creators just appeared on a TV show. The signup page claims it won awards from “Parenting Times” and “Women’s Week” - this is untrue and no such awards exist. Do not support this app.
The BEST audiobooks for kids
My family found sooperbooks a few years ago and it quickly became a part of our daily routine. There are so many different stories and they are all so cute. We love sooperbooks
Very limited and overpriced
No story text is provided, so children can’t follow along and develop reading skills. This makes it mostly pointless. Charging such an expensive subscription for this is completely unjustified.
Confused
Every time you choose anything you are offered "unlock everything " and a monthly subscription! Very frustrating. Where is the lifetime one off subscription… misleading and disappointing.
Not suitable for children
Absolutely dreadful app: navigation is confusing, slow loading and there are frequent glitches. The stories have questionable themes and don’t set a good example for kids.
Not a good app
The stories are audio only, there is no text to read. It is expensive for what you get. Images are very slow to load, even on a good phone. Avoid this app.
Too much screen time
Too much animation and screen time, no reading available. It’s bad for our kids so we have stopped using it.
Inappropriate content for younger kids.
Some of the themes, content and images are not good for young children.
Absolute trash
Most of the stories are locked. You people just want to make money and don’t care about anything else.
Do not download, definitely don’t pay for it
Terrible app. Was previously ok but now it’s audio only, no text. How will that help kids read? Creepy pictures and voiceover, slow animations.

This app is awful: there is nothing to actually read and their content is unoriginal and too expensive.
Great Story Audio Book App
Great app for children, with large amount of fun and educational stories long and short which you can listen to via the App, or also read along to on the website.
Sadly lacking quality
Despite all the free publicity (hype) this app and the whole of Sooper Books is simply no good. There are literally thousands of better apps available.
