Waste of Money

I’ve downloaded and delete this app so many times trying to force myself to like it and just couldn’t use it for more than an hour.

Anything but

Anything is better than Apple Music. But Soor is a solid intuitive app in its own right. It connects the content but not the poor design of Apple Music.

Constantly Crashes.

Unusable. Can barley even add a song to a playlist without it crashing or simply not working.

Support doesn’t respond.

Great smart playlists, but slow loading

This has the best UI for creating smart playlists compared to similar apps. It is more powerful than Miximum, and much more intuitive than Marvis. My issue, however, is the mixes take a few seconds to load up, much slower than comparable apps.

Interesting

Works fine on MacOS , wished to be a glass effect theme and fonts to be resizable

Nice app but with some bugs

Some bugs and freezes. New Magic Mix is not working for downloaded songs and many other sources and filters.

Wonderful app!!

Could you add Recently added like Apple Music please?

Keeps Crashing

No way to open it as it keeps crashing right away.

Local audio files

I’d like the ability to play music that isn’t from Apple Music or iTunes 🙂

Poor navigation

It’s an ok alternative to the built in music app. Unfortunately it inherits most of the flows from it as well. For example if you have an artist whos songs are in compilations you will not see them when you browse by the artist. Playlist folders are not properly nested, and so on.

Fantastic except…

Honestly really happy with this app so far, the only issue I have had so far is with the lyrics.

(Only tried on iPhone 15 Pro so far)

The Good:
- MAGIC MIX is absolutely awesome! Finally something that resembles smart playlists!
- The way the queue works is great. I love not having to fumble through a menu while I’m driving.
- Adding to playlists so is much easier.
- You can flip through the Coverflow view without skipping the current song! But if you do want to change songs the play button is right on the album art.
- Pull to reach is taking a bit to get used to but I’m really starting to like it. There is a con about it too see below.
- Changing default sort order by view, love having most recent playlists at the top. Most played songs on top. But I can still show artists in alphabetical order.

The Bad:
- There’s no way to set lyrics as the default view in the player.
- The small single line of lyrics under the song title is cool, but I’d much rather have the option to make it bigger and move it. There a ton of empty space between the player controls and the volume slider, move the controls down a bit, make the lyrics bigger and put them just below the album art.
- The sing along lyrics are a pain to access. You have to open the insight menu, tap the button, then tap Musixmatch from the share sheet.
- There’s a setting to enable/disable a lyrics button…I don’t see said button anywhere.
- Why no animated album art?
- No audio quality selection, at least not that I can find.
- What does Live Activity actually do? No matter if it’s on or off I notice no difference.
- Pull to Reach should be customizable. Pull to search I will be using every day. But pull for settings or notifications? I will literally never use that. And when it’s hit by accident it’ll just be frustrating.

There’s a ton of potential here, and it’s definitely better than any other iOS app I have tried for Apple Music. But there are definitely some things missing compared to some of the desktop apps like Cider.

Great third party UI for Apple Music

I really love the design of the app and the magic mix feature, which allows you to create custom playlists. The only feature that appears to be missing is autoplay. You have to use the native Apple Music app to enable autoplay. Pleaseeee add autoplay. Thanks for the great app!

Not there yet

I appreciate the idea and the UI work but the app is highly unstable and crashes really often - though the music is not impacted if you’re using Apple’s native player

Potential.

Great potential, but crash a a lot. Both desktop and phone.. Magic mix may be a good idea but crash the app when you dig in filters... or just trying to play it.

I want to love this app…. but….

It looks great, is nice to use and makes great suggestions based on what you listen to. But it just crashes out and freezes on a regular basis.
I’m running it on a 15 Pro, running the latest version of IOS 🤦🏻‍♂️

Absolutely fantastic

I was trying out multiple alternative players for apple music and this one is by far the best in terms of usability. I feel that stock apple music is extremely unappealing to use and this app feels way more thought through. My only complaint is the magic mix button which is left to play pause when you play a song. I don't use it ever and it would be great if I could hide it, other than that, great job 👍

It did work great

It worked perfectly until today update. Now I can not play or shuffle play, from the songs section

Apple Music Essential

Diese App ist eine super Ergänzung zu Apple Music. Intuitive Steuerung, schönes Design und vor allem vielseitige Playlists. Empfehlenswert!

Not working

The app isn’t working, it won’t connect to lastfm 🤨 Emailed support, still waiting to hear back 😒

Abandoned

This app hasn’t been updated in over a year and in that time we had a whole new version of iOS plus several major updates which include significant updates and changes to Apple Music and with Soor not being update along side IOS and Apple Music means that this app no longer functions properly or interacts with Apple Music as it should. If someone still wants an alternative to Apple Music I would recommend Marvis. Unlike the Soor developers Marvis continues to respect his customers by communicating and keeping the product that his customers paid for up to date and working correctly.
