Solid App

The app is very simple but does what you expect it to do. You're greeted with a grid of sounds. The sidebar allows you to choose from a list of categories to further sort what you might be looking for (water, nature, urban, etc.). Clicking a sound starts playing and you can choose how loud that sound is. Furthermore, by clicking another sound, you automatically start a mix (which is just two or more sounds playing simultaenously). I ike that you can choose how loud each individual sound is. You also can save a mix by clicking the heart icon, which prompts you to give it a name. Upon naming your mix, a new "My Mixes" section appears on top of the Sounds section. This only appears when you have atleast one mix saved and named. It is rather elegant and simple. There isnt much in the way of settings besides switching the sounds being laid out in a grid or a list. I prefer the former. The sounds are all very high quality and there is even a "gray noise" option which I rather like. Overall, for $1 you cannot get a better app. The design of the app is simple and is right at home next to Apple apps and design ethos. Really well done! I'm very pleased and I believe anyone else would be too.

Almost perfect

This app is nearly perfect. Great interface and wide variety of sounds. But I’m an avid user of the clock sound and I can’t help but notice it’s not perfect and after about 25 seconds it noticeably skips and restarts so it’s not a perfect loop. I wish that could be corrected but other than that it’s great.

Splendid sounds and interface

This app has an excellent variety of calming sounds and a friendly user interface. Like another reviewer mentioned, I like that it doesn’t require a monthly subscription or IAPs as far as I can tell. I’ve used many sleep sound apps, so I love the simplicity of this one and its ease of use. It’s also nice that you can create your own sound mixes. I hope they add piano, guitar, lullaby, music box, and a couple other sounds in the future.

Great!

Love the sounds and the privacy. Any chance we could use these as background sounds when listening simultaneously to something else like a podcast?

Perfection

Night night

I agree, it’s a great alternative to Dark Noise

It’s super simple to use and well designed. Works perfectly on my older device 👍🏻 would love to see more sounds added for future updates!

Please add a tip jar or something to allow users to support its development

Mix your own sounds & save them.

I am really happy with this app. I love sleep sounds and I love that you can mix these and save them with your own names.

You can mix up to 12 sounds together and save them in a custom mix with your own naming scheme.

There is a wide variety of sounds to choose from and it is interesting to find different combinations that go together. I used fireplace, thunderstorm, café, and several types of chimes together along with frog sounds. It sounded lovely!

There is also a timer feature which I have not used but goes up to 24 hours.

Also a huge plus: no ads and no tracking of any sort. This app is completely private.

Thank you very much, developer!

I like it!

I used Noise.io for quite awhile, and decided to try this out. It's very similar in its selection of sounds and the ability to create a mix. The only thing I really want that this app doesn't have is to be able to start and stop it from the menu bar. Otherwise, it's quite nice!

Response from developer

Hi, Could you please email us at: miarydiaryapp@gmail.com with more details. Thank you.

Not one sound but only two

Its no big deal, its only a buck but this app says 30 sounds as if thats what you get for free. Thats no tthe case at all. It offers 2 sounds for free only. Misleading and deceptive.

Better than Dark Noise

Mixing sounds is the one feature I most want from a sleep noise app and this one does it brilliantly. Add shortcuts support and it would be perfect.

Quite a nice app!

I'm not sure how the Siri Shortcuts work yet, but I'm hoping I can somehow get auto-playing working from the Mac. Keep working on this, dev!
