About
Sophi0 is a notebook.
Your notebook opens on its cover, then its contents, then a page for today. Whatever you write goes on today's page, dated, in order, and stays there. A hundred and ninety-two leaves make a volume; when you fill one, it rolls to the next.
On the shelf beside it are notebooks somebody else wrote. You can read them, and you can rule on them.
RULING
Every passage in this app can be answered. You hold it, you reject it, or you leave it open — and the moment you do, that passage is stamped onto your own page with its author and your verdict, permanently. Your reading and your writing end up in the same record, in the order you did them.
Nothing gets deleted. If you want a line gone you cross it out, the way you would in a real notebook, and you can uncross it later or remove it for good. The journey stays visible. That is the point.
QUESTIONS
Write a question on a page and it becomes a marker — bolder on the leaf, logged with the day you asked it, and collected with every other question you have ever asked. Answer it now or come back in a year. A question you have carried for eight months is worth knowing about.
SEARCH
Everything you have read, written, ruled on, and asked is searchable, and every result tells you the page it lives on and takes you there.
WHAT SHIPS WITH IT
- The Negative Philosophers — Socrates, Plato, Nietzsche and Kant, arguing against Philosophy Zero.
- System Zero — the philosophy itself.
- The Second Mind — twenty-six chapters.
- Sophi0 — the shorter pieces.
You can hide any of them, make notebooks of your own, tear a page out of one and into another, and bring in a notebook someone sends you.
THINKING WITH SOPHI0
On a device with Apple Intelligence, Sophi0 will sum up a page, a whole notebook, or where you stand — what you have held, what you have rejected, what you keep returning to, and which of your own pages it came from. It reads nothing but what is inside your app, and it runs entirely on your device. Without Apple Intelligence the notebook works exactly the same; this simply is not offered.
A NOTE ON THE NEGATIVE PHILOSOPHERS
Those four are AI-represented positions of historical philosophers, written from documented positions — not verbatim quotation, and adversarial to Philosophy Zero by design. Every passage of theirs says so, on the page and on the widget. We would rather tell you twice than once.
IF PHILOSOPHY IS NOT WHY YOU CAME
There is a switch. Turn it and the philosophy goes: no subjects, no shelf of given notebooks, nothing offered to you to rule on. What is left is a blank notebook — a page a day, your own volumes, your questions, your search, your summaries. A journal, or a designer's day-book. The switch goes both ways, and nothing you wrote is lost either direction.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
No account. No login. No servers. Sophi0 makes no network requests of any kind — there is not one web address anywhere in the app, and the AI is Apple's on-device model or nothing at all. Export the whole notebook to a file whenever you like and keep your own copy.
FREE
All of it. No subscriptions, no unlocks, no tokens, no limits on how much you write.

What's New in SOPHI0
3.1
August 17, 2026
Anything you bring into Sophi0 from a file now keeps its paragraphs and its headings. The app had been flattening them on the way in — which is also why The Second Mind carried a title page in its contents as though it were a chapter. It reads as one book again, twenty-five chapters, with every ruling you made still pointing where it pointed.
