FAQ
What is SoraKurage?
SoraKurage is a weather app that visualizes barometric pressure forecasts using a simulated jellyfish aquarium. The depth of the jellyfish and the clarity of the water indicate upcoming pressure changes, with sinking and cloudiness signaling a drop.
How does SoraKurage show pressure changes?
The jellyfish's depth in the aquarium represents the current pressure. When a sharp pressure drop is forecast, the jellyfish will slowly sink, and the water will appear cloudy, providing a visual cue without numbers or graphs.
Can I see future pressure forecasts with SoraKurage?
Yes, SoraKurage offers a 48-hour forecast of pressure changes. You can scroll through upcoming hours, and deep dips in pressure will be marked with a warning.
Does SoraKurage have ads?
No, SoraKurage is ad-free. The app states that there are no ads, and the Pro version is a one-time purchase.
What features does SoraKurage Pro offer?
SoraKurage Pro, available as a one-time purchase, unlocks a 10-day forecast, custom alerts, unlimited note history, and five different jellyfish colors. This upgrade does not involve a subscription.
Is SoraKurage available on Android?
Currently, SoraKurage is only supported on iPhone devices, as indicated by the 'supportedDevices' field.
How often is SoraKurage updated?
SoraKurage was last updated on September 12, 2026, with version 1.0. Future updates will likely follow to maintain functionality and potentially add new features.
Does SoraKurage require an account?
No, SoraKurage prioritizes user privacy by not requiring an account. It also does not use a developer server, and forecasts are obtained from Apple Weather using only your chosen city's coordinates.
