good for autism/ADHD (my opinion)
just started using this app for the first time today. i really like how simple it is, and also that you're accomodated for the inability to transition between high stimulation and low with the tapping. i have autism and ADHD so that makes transitions a lot harder for me generally speaking, as well as it being harder to focus in my day to day. i think i'll be using this a lot in the mornings. also, orange is my favorite color, so i love that it's orange.
also, thank you for not including streaks and stuff. i can get kind of obsessive about my performance like you talked about in the first talk, so being able to see all the days in the past i've missed and my streak reset to zero like in other apps just demotivates me, because i'm hardly able to be consistent with most things in my life, but i want that to be okay now, 'cause i can't even be consistent with other things i LOVE to do and want to engage with regularly due to executive dysfunction and other circumstances. the more we fight ourselves, the more unnecessary pain we're in.
if i may ask, how many daily talks are in the app? when you get through all of them, does it loop, or just end? i am curious about the inner workings and the process, and i want to know what to expect.
thank you very much for making this app. i think i will enjoy it.

Thank you so much for this! You basically described the exact reasons I made the app. It’s a very strange and wonderful feeling to make something based on all my own struggles and then have a stranger say "Oh yeah, me too." The talks are still being made, so there’s no end yet. I'm thinking I'll do at least 365, and then may or may not continue depending on if people keep listening :) If you have any other questions about the inner workings, you can always find me at patrick@sortazen.com
Sorta Zen Review
I know the value of meditation but always struggle to actually settle down and meditate. I look forward to Patrick's intro each day which starts my meditation. I enjoy his insights & food for thought with no sense of judgement. The app is easy to use and the options for music, ocean, silence, etc, lets me choose what fits me today. Thank you Patrick for creating this.

Thanks for the heartfelt review! Happy sitting!
Best meditation app ever!
I’ve always wanted to incorporate meditation into my routine but I need it to be guided otherwise I get overwhelmed. I don’t want to have to look up a video on YouTube cause I don’t want to need to access the internet every time I meditate, and every meditation app I’ve come across so far has been crammed with way too many options and settings and features - until this one. Sorta Zen is a great app for you if you want something really simple and straightforward. The intro at the beginning of each meditation is just enough to get oriented to the practice before finishing the ten minutes on your own. I like that it’s flexible and you can continue for as long as you want. I haven’t used the button feature yet, but it’s a cool idea for staying engaged in a minimal way. Thanks Patrick!
