About
SOSRadar is a nearby search-assistance tool that helps people in distress and nearby searchers see each other more clearly.
When SOS mode is active, the app broadcasts a nearby distress signal and shows discovered searchers on a radar. In Search mode, it scans for nearby SOS signals and uses distance and direction to help indicate where they may be.
When a responder has shared a usable location, the target can also be opened in Apple Maps.
Key features:
- Nearby SOS broadcasting and device discovery
- Search radar using distance, device heading, and available location data
- Lists of nearby SOS signals and searchers
- Nearby sharing of SOS location and status
- Local warning sound requests for connected SOS devices
- Keep-awake SOS screen for ongoing status visibility
SOSRadar uses Bluetooth, local-network connectivity, and location services to improve nearby discovery and directional guidance. Distance, direction, and location may be affected by surroundings, device conditions, signal obstruction, and location accuracy.
Important: SOSRadar is NOT a replacement for emergency services and does not automatically contact police, medical providers, or rescue organizations. In an emergency, call your local emergency number first and contact professional responders whenever possible.
