About

Control your Denon® or Marantz® AV receiver from your iPhone — calm, instant, and built around scenes instead of receiver menus. • Power, volume, and mute at a glance • Switch inputs and pick sound modes instantly • One-tap scenes that set input, mode, and volume together • Automatic discovery of receivers on your local network • Try it first: built-in demo mode, no receiver required • Multi-receiver and multi-zone control, deep Audyssey/MultEQ tuning, sound favorites, themes, Siri Shortcuts, widgets, and Control Center controls Everything is free — every feature, every receiver. If Sotto makes your evenings calmer, there's an optional tip jar in Settings. That's the whole business model. No accounts. No ads. No tracking. Your settings stay on your device, and the app talks only to your receiver on your local network. Compatible with most network-enabled Denon and Marantz receivers that support the standard control protocol. This app is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Denon, Marantz, or Sound United. "Denon" and "Marantz" are trademarks of their respective owners and are used here only to describe compatibility.

What's New in Sotto

1.0.1

August 6, 2026

Thank you for trying Sotto. This update is mostly about scenes behaving exactly as promised. • Scenes now set the volume correctly on every receiver. If your receiver reports its own maximum volume, a scene could ask for a level it would never accept, and the app would report that the receiver "didn't confirm" even though the scene had worked. Scene volume is now matched to what your receiver actually allows, including scenes you saved before this update. • Fixed a bug where closing the Sound or Options screen while it was still loading could drop the connection to your receiver, leaving the controls unresponsive until you reconnected. • Scenes and sound favorites in Siri, Shortcuts and Control Center now only ever apply to the receiver they were made for. With more than one receiver set up, the wrong one could be targeted. • Turning the main zone off at the receiver's front panel is now reflected in the app instead of leaving it looking powered on. • Added a tip jar for anyone who would like to support development. It unlocks nothing: every feature in Sotto is free, and always will be. Found something wrong, or own a receiver Sotto doesn't fully support yet? The app can send me an anonymized snapshot of your model, which is exactly what lets me add proper support for it.
