I love this app so much! One suggestion…
Finally, an app that doesn’t have a horrific paywall! The overall design of the app is beautiful too and very easy to understand. Only thing I wish it had was the ability to transcript, like closed captions/subtitles!
This is what I was looking for!
A few months ago I started writing (well technically typing in a diary app LOL). I was needing somewhere where I could get all of my thoughts and feelings out, but then I quickly realized that would much rather just speak them instead of writing it. I’m not always at home when I get a thought/feeling jot down especially while I’m driving because I don’t always want to wait until I get somewhere to type it out in the diary app, so I would much rather just speak it into an app lo just like this one. It’s perfect for me!!!
The only thing is that, I would love for it to be a widget.

This is awesome
I use this app multiple times a day. I have ADHD journaling his numbers. This is truly the first used that act. I’ve realized stuff and I’m thankful for it. I know needs to be changed is that this app needs updated. It hasn’t been updated in about a year, and I don’t wanna lose this gem.
Simple and Easy
When I need to work through an idea or feelings, I love how easy it is to get into this app quickly and start recording. The interface is clean and smooth and intuitive and everything just works.

This app is awesome. I’m journaling in it multiple times a day, and it’s so much easier to do than writing. I have ADHD, and as you can imagine, my thoughts tend to flow faster than my hand can type or right. But, this app does need updated. I don’t wanna see it be abandoned. It works, and I will definitely keep using it. It’s also accessible with VoiceOver, and that’s a big deal to me as a blind person.

A Beautiful Tool
Sound Off is the most beautiful voice memo app that I’ve used. I love the ability to choose my color styles and appreciate the thoughtfulness of the design. Because it’s so enjoyable to use it encourages me to continue to record consistently. I’ve found audio journaling to be an incredible useful tool for self-care and also as a creative business owner, too - and this app this a wonderful addition to my brainstorming & discovery practice. Would love to have the ability to use this with my wellness coaching clients as well!

Great concept but could use some improvements
I really like the applications so far but there are some major challenges with the app at present. There is currently no way for me to delete recording. Or, at least, in a way that feels intuitive and approachable. I reached out to the team at Sound Off with this feedback and I got a very prompt response. Rory was incredibly helpful and receptive to my feedback. I love the concept and with some minor functionality improvements, I think it would be a near perfect app.

A True Gem for Self Improvement
This app has been a game-changer for me in the realm of self-reflection. With my busy schedule, finding time to sit down and journal doesn’t always work but this made it incredibly easy to let my thoughts flow and process what was on my mind, all on the go. I love the guided daily questioning feature that gave me a place to start with my thoughts and help me outline my goals– it's a true gem among self-improvement apps

Broken
I am so sad to see this app totally broken. It is no longer updating and it’s frozen upon opening. I am sad that I have lots of voice memos in here that I’ll never be able to access again. Please update this app so it can at least run.
Low quality audio
The audio recordings are of terrible quality, for an app that has the one job of recording audio, this is a massive fail. The native iOS voice notes app makes recordings crystal clear, while sound off sounds like 1990s telephone.
You can’t transcribe recordings, nor can you play them back in an continuous streams.
Beware: there is no way to export your recordings.
Switching apps then back shows a bug where audio no longer plays.
The discover tab is completly blank.

Great app!
Helps me maintain my daily mindfulness practice and is fun and easy to use.
shockingly therapeutic
I’ve struggled to be a consistent journal-er and this has been a game changer!! I record things mindlessly and just ramble on about whatever without judgement or thinking too hard, and it feels so therapeutic afterwards. can’t recommend enough!

I’ve been living abroad recently and my desire to journal has been deeply vital to process my thoughts and experiences. That said, my brain thinks faster than my hand can write. So to have a platform -secure - to release my internal dialogue is a blessing. Vocally too there is something deeply personal in hearing myself speak my own thoughts - sounds and all.
Excited to explore the guided prompts as well to see what else I might need to share or investigate in my own life. Beautifully simple yet empowering app.

Great app & idea!
This app is superb! It’s a perfect way to clarify your thoughts and super easy to navigate. It’s a go to daily app especially where we’ve been through such a tough couple of years! A definite app to have!
Incredible app
I was recently introduced to this app and can say its the most useful on my phone, I’m used to having a notebook around with me day to day but sound off allows me to record my ideas on the go, couldn’t ask for a more useful app

It’s a really pretty app, which is a nice change from the voice memos app I usually use. I’d love some more features for playback and the option to tag recordings and add photos pleaaaasee! : )
