About
Sound Wave Sight is an app that visualizes instrument waveforms in real time.
A dialog will appear asking for permission to access the microphone—please enable it to use the app.
Once microphone input starts, the app detects the frequency of the incoming sound and displays its harmonics on the screen.
It helps you understand the structure of tone and supports sound analysis and improvement.
- Displays the harmonic composition of sound in real time, up to the 8th harmonic.
- In T-Y Mode, volume over time is displayed as a waveform.
- In SIN-Y Mode, a phase-circle graph compares a zero-phase sine wave with the input waveform.
- Screenshots of the waveform and harmonic composition can be saved to your photo library. (Need photo library access ON)
Notes:
- Need Microphone Input.
- Need Photo Library Access (If you use Sound Wave Screenshots)
- Frequencies are approximate.
- Sounds that are too high (above 4000 Hz) or too low (below 55 Hz) may not be displayed correctly.
- If the display is unstable, try again in a quieter environment or move closer to your device’s microphone.
