Clumsy new “Upgrade”
And even once you do that, if you toggle to another app and come back, it’s back to being wrong again. This has made this app almost unusable for live situations now, where I can’t be constantly picking up and turning the iPad like an etch a sketch before every track.
Response from developer
We're sorry this update has made the app unreliable for live use. Version 2.6.5 includes iPad lifecycle and layout work, but the top-menu overlap after backgrounding is not confirmed fixed on your device. Rotation is only a temporary workaround; please do not reinstall. Email support@appholdings.org with the app version/build, iPad model/iPadOS, orientation and split-screen state, and a short recording or Diagnostics export.
Back to awesome! …however.
The gaps between the pads are gone, and the option to remove the master volume fader is greatly appreciated. It feels awesome again!
There are still a couple of issues that I think need attention:
* Pad borders remain highlighted after playback ends. If I trigger several sounds or songs in any order, the colored borders (purple, for example) stay lit even after those tracks have stopped playing. This makes it difficult to tell which sounds are actually active. The only way to clear the borders is to scroll the board, or swipe to another board and then come back. It feels buggy and less stable than the original version.
* A white border appears around a pad for no apparent reason. Even when no sound is playing, one pad will sometimes remain outlined in white. The border can also persist after switching to another board and back. This is also confusing because it suggests that the pad is selected or active when it isn’t.
I genuinely think this is the best soundboard app on the market, and I’m very happy with my purchase. Thank you for continuing to improve it, and keep up the great work!
Response from developer
Thank you for the thoughtful feedback, and we're glad 2.6.4 restored your boards. For larger pads, try App Settings > Pad Button Size > Standard or Large. The MASTER slider can be set to 0% when you do not need it. We are evaluating a more convenient way to give the grid more room.
Extremely Confusing (and just bad) App Design
Then, the app is just extremely confusing. I pressed a button. Apparently one to delete “pads”… which I didn’t have. And it didn’t have ANY way to close out of it! I had to restart my app each time just to escape. There’s no names for the icons, so you’re left gambling what each one will do because you have to figure it out yourself.
There’s absolutely ZERO organization to the settings. Even so, the descriptions they DID provide for select few toggles made no sense anyway!
I figured out how to import my audio, and then I did. It… worked! Quite easily, actually. You press it, and it simply plays. I enjoyed that part!… …but they somehow managed to screw THIS up, too. Every time you tap one of your sounds to play, it makes your whole screen… bounce. (Yes, your screen wobbles up and down with each tap.) Then, it makes your screen scroll down, hiding your sounds out of your tapping reach. “Well, why not just scroll back up so you can reach/tap them again?” Because… you can’t. There’s no way to scroll back up to get your sounds back on your screen.
At the end of the day, the app works, but there’s so many glitches/bad features and confusing functions that it’s more of a hassle than a help to use.
I wouldn’t recommend this app; don’t waste your time.
Had Loved This App
The old Interface was awesome and now is not. :(
Actually, the interface you are advertising in the App Store demo photos is not what we get.
I love this app, I own the forever Pro version and use it mostly on my iPhone 17 Pro. But I truly think we need bigger pads and less unused space.
I appreciate the fast response with the hot fix 2.6.4, now the app opens fine and all my data still there.
Thank you.

Answer to the developer:
Thank you for your response. I’ve tried the pad button size, I use it on standard because Large only gives me one column of pads. And small, well to me they feel too small on the iPhone.
The standard is perfect, except for the big gap between the two columns.
-Regarding the Master slider, setting it to 0% just turn the volume down, It doesn’t get rid of the slider.
-Also, the pads borders now stay lit even when the track is not playing anymore, it’s very confusing. We have to move to another board and go back to clear it.
Maybe you are still making changes and tweaking things on the new version, but is it there a way to roll back to the previous working version until things are more stable?
Thank again.

App freezes, Refuses to open
Response from developer
We're very sorry - this is a bug in version 2.6.3, not your iPad, and we know how painful losing your work twice is. The crash is triggered when the app detects a Pro purchase or free trial at launch: the next cold start then crash-loops (black screen, then closes), and reinstalling only helps until the purchase state syncs again - exactly the pattern you saw. The fix, version 2.6.4, is complete and has been submitted to Apple. Until it arrives, please don't delete the app - your boards are stored on-device and deleting removes them. Write to feedback@appholdings.org and we'll tell you the moment the update is out and help you back up your boards so this can never cost you work again.
Potential but missing simple functions
Update
Response from developer
Thank you for the report, and sorry for the disruption. This is a bug in the 2.6.3 update (it mainly hits long-time users after the latest iOS update), not your device — we've identified the exact cause and a fixed update (2.6.4) is in final testing now. Important: please don't delete the app — your boards and sounds are still stored on the device. If you need help right away, email feedback@appholdings.org and we'll respond quickly.

CRASHING
Teuer
Response from developer
Thanks for the feedback. The free Lite app is intentionally limited to 4 boards and 24 tracks; Pro plans provide higher limits. We understand the pricing may not fit every use case and have recorded your comments. Please contact feedback@appholdings.org if we can help with your setup.
Simple app, terrible price
Price and reliability.
I will say the free version is very capable and met most of my needs over time. BUT I wanted to support and pay for the app. At $150 it’s way too pricey for what I’m getting. At this price I can just buy a midi controller for my laptop to trigger everything.
On top of that, the app freezes and refuses to play songs often during live event.s
Wonderful
Great app
Would be great if the pro version added EQ and a favourites board where you can reuse configured samples from other boards. But anyway, I’m not spending more than $30 on something like this, no matter how well it does the job.
