Please fix the ads
This game is amazing and easy to use, however the ads to unlock features just don’t work at all and I’m not the only one apparently and a good addition would be to add an export feature but overall the game is super cool aside from the ads functionality

It is truly a great game, but one problem, for some reason the restore purchases button won’t work. Although the full game is still worth the price.

Good rhythm maker, has flaws
SoundForest is quite an interesting game, if you can call it a game. For those unwilling to download the app, it’s one where you make rhythm patterns using different drum sounds, and then listen to your creations. You can choose the tempo, the number of bars, and the palette of sounds you can choose from, and for all those wondering, no, you can’t place multiple sounds in the same square.
Whilst vertical depth was added to combat this, giving each row a different pitch makes the flaw return. I wouldn’t say its too big of a flaw as there is quite a bit of vertical space and the sound palette is REALLY diverse and REALLY big, but I just wanted to share this. Also, I do appreciate that one needs to make money off of one’s apps, but only having access to two sound palettes is, in my personal opinion, a tiny bit underwhelming. Perhaps the cherry on top would be to add an extra one song for the third sound palette, but I might sound a bit nitpicky so go with whatever you like.
Ok, so the app does have its flaws, but can we talk about what good it has? The sounds are catchy and overall sound nice, and fit well with the rest of their brethren. I was blown away by how big the sound palettes are, and I definitely like the difference between the first and second sound palettes, implying the third onwards are just as themed and diverse. Also, I personally like the graphical style, the way everything transitions, and overall it’s a good music app, with its flaws but with equal strengths to counter and cancel out said flaws. Three stars.
footnote: completely unrelated but i wrote an old version of this three years ago that was negative and nitpicky as hell and it was way too grouchy so i changed it to this ok goodbye now
Edit: Why on earth does App Store not delete the developer response when you edit the review? It could be irrelevant when it is updated, or seemingly nonsense… whatever. I’m sure whoever is running the App Store knows what they are doing.

Awesome creativity
I love this game so much, you should definitely install this. However, this game has been abandoned now, it’s been 5 years.. and the ad option doesn’t work anymore. Nonetheless, great app! Just wishing the ad problem will fix.
Excellent music app for teaching little ones about rhythm
I stumbled upon this app about a year ago and it is amazing. Mr. Alexander, I wanted to applaud you for making it. I would be interesting in working with you to enhance some of its features.

Trouble with getting help with ads
I was recommended this game by a friend and I really love the idea and sounds, but I’ve been unable to get the ads to unlock things to work. I tap one and it will just stay blank for a few seconds before telling me it failed to load an ad. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling and even rebooted my phone. I also tried to look for places to reach out about my issues but the support website is of no help and seems to only be ads, if there is anything actually about the app on that website it’s an extremely user unfriendly experience and has made this whole ordeal difficult. I just want to be able to watch ads to unlock little bits so I can fully excitement with this awesome looking sound system.
TLDR; I’ve been unable to get support for my issues with the app and am hoping to get help here. Love the game but the fact that it’s forcing me to purchase the full thing, despite the fact that I should be able to watch ads to unlock more things.

pretty cool, one thing though
I really like this app, but the button to watch an ad doesn’t quite work, when I click it, it waits for like 10-20 seconds, then says that the ad was unable to play, and when I click ok, the screen is blank with no buttons, it’s kinda weird but it’s still a very cool app
It won’t let me use the other sounds
I got this game for my son but it won’t let me buy the sounds can you help me.
Great, but broken
I want to like this app. I truly enjoy its simple, modern, “Mario Paint like” esthetic. However, I tried paying the $1.99 price to gets all of the sounds, but it somehow doesn’t seem to work. I also tried watching an advertisement to grant me the sound, but the most it could do was crash the app.
In addition, some of the musical sounds are not in the same key.
