I barely downloaded Soundscape yesterday. I am new to it. but I watched blind with a vision with Anna is the administrator of the channel. and Anna has Soundscape well her video is pretty old so I don’t know if she still has it. and so since Anna is totally blind, and she’s only have light perception like me well I don’t have like perception and I really trust Anna so I downloaded Soundscape yesterday

Soundscape:
I remember an old soundscape, when it would announce all the businesses around. Now it just announces crosswalks and a very few businesses. Will it ever get back to the old Soundscape like it used to be? Thanks!!!!

Not had an update for awhile but still using it it’s still better than most of the navigation apps that are out there. I have VoiceVista as well but I still come back to this one excellent stuff.

I had the soundscape app before it went off line. Today I found it again it’s a revelation, it’s good to hear what’s around you with this updated version
Soundscape rocks It’s my favorite GPS application.
I used to have excellent orientation and mobility skills, but now that I’m 75, fatigue, and a slight hearing loss have made independent travel, tougher. Soundscape gives me back some of what I have lost as I have become a senior citizen.
Bus travel
I’m using soundscape to teach people how to set a marker at the bus stop prior to the one needed. Then setting an audio beacon to that marker, which is where they press the bell to get off at the next stop.

I think Soundscape is a fantastic app. It is always pretty accurate and is very helpful. I was using it to navigate to my pen teachers house the other day. Love it.

Wouldn't be without it
Soundscape is an invaluable tool for visually impaired people on the move. It effortlessly tells you what street you're on, what intersections are coming up, and about points of interest as you pass them. You can also use it to explore a location without actually visiting it. Highly recommended.

Have been Beta testing this alongside Microsoft Soundscape. It’s pretty much identical.
The developers are really responsive to feedback.
Such a relief to be able to continue using this fantastic app. I use it alongside Google Maps. It gives me all the visual data in Google maps in an auditory way.
Have tried lots of other apps and they’re all quite annoying in the way they announce things. Soundscape is very intuitive and just announces what you want at a time you want it, ie the upcoming junction at a sensible distance. The coffee shop you’re about to pass.
Other apps repeatedly continue to announce things half a mile after you’ve passed. Very irritating snd audio overload. I just don’t get on with them.
