Lyrics • Lyrics Editor — Add, edit, and remove lyrics for any track directly within the app • Lyric Sync Workspace — Tap-to-timestamp each line of lyrics in real time while the track plays, for perfectly timed karaoke-style display • Full-Screen Lyrics Overlay — Swipe up from the now-playing screen to see synchronized, scrolling lyrics with line-by-line highlighting • Lyric Break Markers — Mark instrumental sections and breaks between stanzas during sync Immersion Immersion is a full-screen listening mode that transports you somewhere else while your tracks play. Choose a scene — a beach, a fireplace cabin, a rainy window, a night city, an underwater expanse, a forest, a coffee shop, or a grand opera hall — and SoundShelf fills the screen with that environment: ambient sounds layered beneath your tracks, a slow crossfade between audio clips so it never loops abruptly, and a full-width scene backdrop that you can cycle through. Labels • Label Types — Create custom category types (e.g. Mood, Era, Energy) with a choice of 10 accent colours • Label Entries — Add sub-labels within each type (e.g. Happy, 90s, Late Night) and assign them to any track • Label Browsing Tab — Dedicated Labels tab showing all types and their entries with track counts • Assign Labels from Track — Long-press any track → Manage Labels, or open the assignment sheet from the now-playing screen • Drag-to-Reorder — Hold and drag label types and sub-labels to reorder them in both the Labels tab and the track assignment sheet • Persistent Sort Order — Custom label order is saved and reflected everywhere in the app Now-Playing Screen • Full Redesign — Scrollable full-screen player with album artwork, track info, playback controls, labels, and lyrics all in one view • Adaptive Background — Player background dynamically derives its gradient colours from the current track's album art • Glass Effect Buttons — Dismiss and menu buttons use iOS's liquid glass material • Status Bar Protection — Content fades out as it scrolls into the status bar zone, preventing visual clashes with the clock and battery indicator • Scrollable Controls — Dismiss and menu buttons scroll away with content instead of floating pinned over everything Audio Player • Shuffle — Shuffle the current library, tag, collection, or label with one tap • Gapless Scheduling — Next track is pre-loaded before the current one finishes to eliminate gaps Library & Organisation • Collections — Create named playlists and assign tracks to multiple collections • Artists — Automatically grouped artist view with per-artist track lists and custom photos • Sort Options — Sort library by title (A–Z, Z–A), artist, or recently added • Label Filtering — Filter the library by one or more label entries • Duplicate Detection — Warns before importing a track that already exists in the library Sleep Timer New Sleep Timer lets you set a point at which SoundShelf will stop playing.
