What's New in Sovereign Logos Complete Bible

2.1

October 22, 2026

The daily reading now shows every verse it reads aloud. Where the Septuagint and the Masoretic tradition number a passage differently, the daily reading could quietly leave verses off the screen while the narration read them. Jeremiah 25 showed thirteen verses and read nineteen. Across the whole Bible this affected 1,478 verses in 278 chapters. A passage the app cannot place is now always shown, because a gap in our data should never take scripture off your screen. Chapter numbers now convert between translations. Reading Psalm 113 in the Septuagint and switching to the King James Version used to leave you on Psalm 113, which is a different psalm. Searching for a reference, comparing translations, the verse of the day and the daily reading all had the same fault. Every surface now converts the number and shows you both, so a chapter header reads "Psalm 115 (KJV: 116)" and you always know where you are. This affects 27 books. Jeremiah is reordered wholesale in the Septuagint: its chapter 27 is chapter 50 in the King James Version. The King James Version now shows you what is missing from it. Reading Daniel 3, between verses 23 and 24, the app tells you that 67 verses were removed from the Masoretic text, names the Septuagint as the witness that preserves them, and opens them with a tap. That passage is the Prayer of Azariah and the Song of the Three Young Men. Until now only a Septuagint reader was told anything, which is backwards: it is the reader of the shorter text who cannot see what is absent. The daily reading played the wrong psalm on ten days a year, and none at all on two. Fixed, and the audio for every affected day has been re-recorded. "Removed from the Masoretic text" markers no longer appear where nothing was removed. They are now drawn only from verified entries. Home shows a row of recent teachings instead of a single slot, because several go out on a busy day. No autoplay, no endless scroll. Backup's "Replace" option no longer promises something it does not do. It said it wipes everything first. It clears only the kinds of data your backup actually contains, and now says so.

Willfully crafted and well thought out

This app has some genuinely cool features and is easy to use. Screen time integration fills a huge need for people trying to start the day right and keep on top of their studies. The app is constantly updating and well built. Good job!

Pure and righteous

SL has opened my eyes to better understanding true biblical teaching from the days of Old Testament times. The videos are captivating and thought provoking. The format is well designed and easy to navigate. May our good Lord continue to bless and guide the work of this app

Best bible app around!

I’ve tried quite a few Bible apps, and Sovereign Logos has quickly become one of my favorites. Having the Septuagint alongside the KJV and being able to compare translations so easily is something I haven’t found done this well in other apps. I also really like the daily reading plan and the option to listen when I don’t have time to sit down and read.

The app itself is clean, simple, and doesn’t feel cluttered. No ads or subscriptions is a huge plus too. If you’re interested in studying Scripture more deeply, especially the Septuagint, this app is definitely worth having on your iPhone.

issues at all reading or using the audio reading functionality. With the latest update it shoes the ability to create a custom reading plan !! This is huge for me. Most importantly the shield of faith feature is amazing. Prioritizing daily stufy time in the morning , before allowing access to other apps prevents distractions snd keeps me focused on what matters most . Christ is king! Way to go Sovereign Logos!!
