About
SP Mount puts your servers' folders in the Files app on your iPhone and iPad, as if they were a cloud: you see everything without downloading anything, each file downloads when you open it and uploads when you save it. No syncing everything and no account. Free; this version mounts one server.
How it works
• Add a server with its address, username and password, or with a key you import once from Files or paste from the clipboard. The first time, the app shows you the server's fingerprint so you can accept it.
• Tap "Test", then "Mount", and the server appears in Files, under Browse, in "Locations". The "Open in Files" button takes you straight there.
• Open, copy and save from Files and from any app that works with Files.
• One switch per server in the app: on mounts, off unmounts. Right there you see what's downloading or uploading.
Made so you don't have to think about it
• A list, a form and a few settings. That's it.
• On iPad, Files asks you to turn the location on by hand; the app tells you exactly where and takes you there with one button.
What it takes care of
• Passwords, keys and your list of servers live only in your device's keychain, never in files.
• If a file changed on the server and on your device, your version is saved as a dated copy and the app lets you know. Nothing is lost quietly.
• Symbolic links on the server aren't followed when deleting or saving, so nothing outside the folder you mounted gets touched.
• The SSH connection runs on a layer we maintain ourselves, with its security fixes applied.
• One button in Settings removes all servers, passwords and app data.
What it doesn't do
• It doesn't sync entire folders: it's on-demand access, like iCloud Drive.
• It doesn't collect data or send anything to anyone: the app only talks to your servers. No accounts, no ads, no analytics.
Requirements: iOS 18 or iPadOS 18 or later and a server with SSH/SFTP (OpenSSH). Password or an Ed25519 or RSA key.
